Gym time anyone?
Is anyone making it to the gym with their preggo bellies?
I have been trying to go 3-ish times a week. With my other pregnancies, I didn't work out hardly at all. I am really trying to do better this time around. But, I think I need to find me a preggo t-shirt to wear to the gym now though, because I feel like I'm starting to look fat... not preggo, but that weird fat stage. Maybe if I got one of those shirts with the baby skeleton over the belly under the Mama's ribs I wouldn't be so self-conscious...
If you go to the gym? What do you do?
I've been doing cardio... still jogging/walking on the treadmill for 30-45 min. or using the elliptical/crosstrainer and then some basic abs... nothing that stresses the lower abdomen at all. And I've decided to start working on my arms a bit. If there is any part of me that might look decent at our community pool this summer, it might be my arms. ;)
I don't have a gym membership, but I'm hoping I feel better soon so I can walk to the park with my little monkeys on a more regular basis. I thought about joining a gym but I don't like leaving my kids at the child care centers..so I'm kinda on the fence. It would be nice to be able to have 30 minutes alone on a treadmill though!
We joined a small, budget gym back in December... and then added the childcare in Feb. I was a little hesitant too with leaving the kids, but my oldest is big enough to tell me what is happening in there and since it is a small gym, there are only about 3 other kids in there most days with my kids.
I'm impressed. I've barely been off the couch for the past month (thanks to hyperemesis, hypotension, etc). Now I think I'm not really allowed to exercise until the SCHs heal. I'm looking forward to getting active again. I've never really done the gym thing, but I like to walk everywhere with the kids and can easily get in a few miles most days.
Gym? Gym?? I wouldn't know what one looked like. BUT, I am going to start walking more now that I'm feeling a bit better.
