Quiet around here! How are you all doing these days? Baby related or not
We've been crazy hard at work renovating our kitchen, and DD's 3rd birthday is this weekend so I'm spending tomorrow mostly getting ready for that. (Although of course we have fun fireworks plans for the evening )
Baby-related not much is going on...still feeling plenty of kicks, and they're all still really low...I went ahead and made a chiro appointment for Monday, just to get that started BEFORE I am in much pain this time. Lower back's getting a tiny bit achy, but mostly I just want to start making sure everything's aligned and ready for good positioning once little miss decides she's done being curled up on her belly like a kitten in there...I know it's still super early, but given that the 3rd tri is right around the corner...(!!!!!!!!)...why not.
I've been really busy here. The boys are on school hols for a few weeks at the moment, so juggling them and work while Andrew's away has been fun. It's the middle of winter here too, I can't just kick them outside after tea either.........a lot of TV is being watched. Sigh. We've just switched the boys room and baby's/study around, so the house looks like a bombs gone off. I'm trying against all mights to get it tidy so that it's not doing my head in anymore. I have a few days off work now, so hopefully I can get some (ALL) done over the weekend.
The baby was kicking so hard the other night that it was actually hurting. My belly button looks worse for wear too, it's feels like it's stretching from the inside out.
I feel a bit weird for admitting to this, but I've been checking out prem babies online just to see what they look like and what they're up to just in case things happen early. Is that really awful of me?
Also, just because I'm spilling everything at the moment, is anyone else having lots of white milky discharge? It feels like I'm actually wetting myself half the time.

Baby #3 due Oct 1st!!
No, it's not weird at all. I think about that too (although haven't actually looked at pictures because I feel like that might freak me out). I have a nephew who was born at 26 weeks and he is severely disabled because of it, so while I like hearing stories of, say, a 24 weeker who turned out just fine, I'm definitely still approaching every day pregnant with a huge amount of relief!!!
Haven't encountered the discharge yet, but I've had it before. Hate that. Are you wearing liners? I would...
Don't worry, between the kitchen construction, redoing Adair's room into a "big girl room" and all the party planning for her birthday tomorrow, my house is insanity right now too. Just trying not to worry too much about it, since this is hardly normal...at least I got our sink hooked up yesterday in time to bake a birthday cake without having to wash everything in the tub! Small victories
I've definitely been reading about preemies. I never did with my others but this time the higher chance of a preterm delivery has me pretty worried.
So far everything seems fine. I'm mostly comfortable, baby'S aCtiVE, and my toddler just found caps lock. I'm loving being pregnant and just wishing the worry would go away so I could really enjoy it.
The weather sucks, though. 90s and super humid every day.

We are doing okay around here, it's starting to warm up but hasn't been horrid (yet). Looking into a portable room a/c because I want to sleep in August and September. Oddly I also looked at what a 24 week old baby would look like last week! Just wondering and trying to remind myself that this little baby is indeed real I guess! I only gained 2 lbs. at my last appt which is fantastic for me, I've been working out every day for 30 minutes and walking tons and tons, so I guess that's really helping. I get to go to IKEA hopefully today and purchase a bookshelf we will use for a changing table. It's pretty cramped around here so we really need to be creative about the baby storage and gear. I decided I'm NOT doing cloth this time around, hubby just ain't into it and I already have so much laundry to do! I'll be using the Honest Company again, their diapers are definitely my favorite. Hmm...what else...oh yes, my homeschool curriculum for next year is beginning to arrive in the mail, so I'm super excited to get that all ready to go!
Hi Ladies! My parents were in town for 8 days and just left yesterday afternoon, so we have been busy hosting them. DH took a couple of days off work around the 4th. My dad and DH put together DD1's new bunk bed and dresser and we rearranged/reorganized her room. She is four now. It is such a big girl room! We are just waiting for her new rug to arrive and it will be done. DD2 will move into that room sometime next spring when it is time to move the baby out of our room. We went out of town overnight for the 4th while my parents were here to a resort where we went to a parade, swam at the hotel, I a got mani/pedi, DH got a massage, and we roasted smores too! The kids had a blast!
We will be transitioning DD2 to the toddler bed sometime this week once we can better anchor her bookshelf and dresser to the walls. And I really need to jump on the potty train, but lack the energy. She is already going several times a day and telling us the instant she needs changed, so she is ready.
I think we will maybe order the carseat this week! I know I want a Chicco again, just can't decide on the color.
I have my 28 week appt on Tuesday with a quick u/s to check my placenta. Fingers crossed that it has moved up now. And I get to do my lovely glucose test.
Kaci... thanks for reminding me that I HAVE TO order homeschool curriculum for DS this week. I have it nearly all chosen, just need to get it coming. Just curious... what are you using with your boys?
And oh... the discharge. I get it every now and then... so gross. Not often enough though to start wearing liners full time.
We have been super busy the last few days with DD1's third birthday, and we did the big girl room transition too! It worked out perfectly because my mom ended up wanting to take her on a movie date that night (an outdoor showing of the Muppet Movie) which gave me and DH time to take down the toddler bed and get her big girl bed all set up for when she came home. She was SUPER EXCITED and loves it to pieces! Here's a pic:
We had to forbid her from sleeping under the comforter last night, though, after the first night and her nap yesterday ended in super sweaty early wakeups. She loves it and wants to use it, but we don't have a/c and it is just TOO HOT. She has been playing so much with all of her new toys (a bunch of duplo Legos, a big girl tea set, a Memory game, etc.) I think she was really past ready for a new influx of slightly older toys, poor thing. Anyway, we had a really nice weekend (although man, even simple birthday parties are a lot of work!!!!!!!!!! How do you guys with multiple kids deal?!) and now I'm ready to shift my focus to preparing for the new baby on the way...well...maybe after MY birthday this weekend...
Hey cute! I was looking at those same bunk beds, for when we get to the bunk bed stage with these two (the bed she has now we just borrowed from family, so we wouldn't have to buy twice) And you can't really see it very well in my picture, but we have the same owl lamp (well, the shade, anyway) We had the matching throw pillow too, but Adair decided she was scared of it
