Default I left her with DH for the first time.

Yesterday afternoon, I left Laney with DH for the first time along with the other kids. I went and got my hair colored and cut. I had pumped and left a bottle for her, but this was my first attempt to leave a bottle and she took it no problems!!! So, this afternoon, I snuck out and got a pedicure... and he fed her a bottle with milk from the freezer and she took it as well. I am so EXCITED that she is taking a bottle with ease... None of the other kids would take a bottle hardly at all. And they definitely wouldn't have anything to do with them after 3 or 4 months. Maybe this will be my first baby to take a bottle. FREEDOM! I am so excited that I can potentially sneak out of the house here and there without rushing back to nurse the baby.

That's awesome! I need to try. Faye HAS to take a bottle since she will be at daycare from 3 months on. I have four pumped in the freezer but I need to do a fresh one and have DH give it a shot. It's time.

I did run out to pick up takeout once, but it was only a half hour max and I nursed her right before I left.

    That's great!
I think we did our first bottle (of breast milk, of course) at 3 or 4 days old. He was clearly doing great BFing, so I figured why wait. Now DH and the boys argue over who gets to feed him if there's a bottle available. But, if he sees or hears me then he wants me, not the bottle. DH has taken all the kids a few times, but just so I can nap.

I want to start pumping at least once a day, but having a hard time finding free time in the day to sit down and pump without all the kids around.

I SO need to jump in on this.
I'm glad everyone's bubba's are going well on the bottle. It does make things a little easier at times.
