Default I scored on two new baby carriers!

A couple weeks back my hubby and I went to Buy Buy Baby for our date night...romantic, I know! We actually really enjoy shopping when we go on dates because we can actually read product labels, play around, and take our time...which we can't usually do with our 3 boys in tow! Anyway, I'm looking at the Moby Wrap display thinking it would be nice to have an infant wrap that's not blue (I have a sky blue sleepy wrap). I grab the grey one and notice the price says $4.79...so I coerce my hubby into taking it up to their register to ask if it's actually only $5...even though I knew it had to be a mistake. Well, store policy says they have to give it to you at the price on the label. So I got a $50 wrap for $5! Sweet!! THEN I'm at my local consignment store, Children's Orchard and I notice a brand new looking brown BabyHawk hanging up, and the price is $12.99. I already have a brown Ergo, but I just couldn't pass it up! These carriers are $80-$100 new! So I have two new carriers for my little princess! I feel blessed, because I do tend to babywear a lot, and this will enable me to keep a carrier in my car, one in my house, AND one in my stroller/diaper bag!

Wow! That is great! I still have my Ergo in my car full time for DD2. It is great to have so many options when you want to wear the baby.

    Score!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm super excited about my new carrier too...our Boba 3G came (which we agreed on as a replacement for the Ergo since it seemed like the best carrier to work for DD1 now and also for DD2 later) and it works really well for DD1, which was my biggest worry. It's not that much wider than the Ergo, but WAY taller, and the foot rests keep her legs up in proper position and off the edges of the seat. She was begging to ride in it when we went to the swap meet on Friday and decided it would be a good place to take it for a test spin DH said it was much more comfortable for him than the Ergo too. I can't really try it yet because of the belly, but so far it seems to be a win!

(Sorry my pics are so huge--photobucket and I are not speaking, and FB pics post gigantic on here!)

awesome! I really love the beco butterfly I got with DS3, and the moby wrap I got with DS2. I think between those I should be set... as much as I'd love to shop for more.

Really? I *hated* the Beco we got for DD1. We wore it like three times and then I sold it on craigslist. It was super adorable, but I hated how difficult it was to get on/off, with the inner layer and buckles that required two hands to open. Same with the Moby--too much work for me! Glad you're happy, though--they're really nice carriers, and great for babies. I think part of my personal hatred for complicated carriers is that my DD was really picky about being carried when she was tiny, and really didn't like to be parent-facing, so I'd do all that work to get her in there and then have to take her right back out again. Maybe this baby will be more flexible

Oh, mine loved facing me. And I like the inner layer, even though it made it a little more complicated. It made me less worried I'd drop him getting him in and out, especially with a back carry!

I wouldn't mind trying an ergo if I could find one cheap, but I doubt it's worth the effort of looking.

LOVE the footrests! Didn't notice them last night when I was researching the details of the Boba.
