Default Meal prep... freezer and otherwise?

Is anyone planning on prepping some meals to freeze or store some other way before the baby comes?

I am undecided as to what to do. My MIL is a decent cook and I know she will help with meals when the baby gets here, as long as she arrives around her due date. Maybe, I'll make a lasagna. My kids aren't too fond of casseroles...

My DH is actually a pretty good chef/cook. And he will take time off when the baby is here so I'm not worried too much about having a lot prepared ahead of time, but maybe just a couple of easy thaw items.

Maybe I'll make some breakfast muffins, waffles, pancakes and freeze them so breakfasts can be quicker.

Does anybody have some go to freezer recipes that their kids just die for? Care to share?

We didn't make a thing last time because DH cooks most of the time anyway, and it was fine. I know I've seen some good ideas thrown out there in other conversations about this, though. Let me see if I can dig up anything brilliant

I prepared crock pot meals so that my 15yr old boys can drop it in the crock pot so it will be done when they get home from school. It is sad that I have to count on my kids to cook because my hubby sucks and cant cook anything he almost burned the house down last time I was pregnant so he is banned from cooking inside. Boys do really good because they always help me. I have also prepared breakfast burritos that are fully cooked and just need to be warme up.

Breakfast burritos are a great idea! I should probably make them on a regular basis for DH to take into work since he leaves by 5:30 and eats breakfast at the office most mornings.

We love Trader Joe's frozen foods for times like this! They have a super selection and prices are good too. We recently bought a deep freezer so we'll probably stock up on goodies. Other than that, we tend to do cereal or takeout for dinner. Our family is BIG on soup from scratch, which would freeze pretty well... too bad it's getting super hot here (finally) because that means I won't be doing any all-day cooking in the kitchen until winter!

I've just made some pumpkin soup and some curry to freeze. Might eat them beforehand though
