    Default Nesting BUG!

Has anyone else gotten bit by the nesting bug?

A couple of weekends ago, I deep cleaned/decluttered our master bathroom... to the point of wiping down the light fixtures and wiping out every.single.drawer and such. This weekend, we (yes, DH even helped me!) worked on our master bedroom. We purged and reorganized our master walk-in closet. We sorted through our dresser drawers and night tables. And I even purged my jewelry cabinet. Then, I moved on to the laundry room and the guest bathroom and kids' bathroom. I didn't get everything deep cleaned yet, but I did get everything sorted/reorganized and lots of trash out of the house. Now, I just need to walk through the kids' rooms again and the upstairs will be officially decluttered.

DH actually bought 2 Groupons for a whole house deep-cleaning last month. We are going to use one before DD2's 2nd birthday party in about a month and save the other one for a couple of weeks after Laney arrives. That will be nice to have actual help in the cleaning department.

I think this week, I may actually start bringing baby clothes upstairs and run a couple of loads of baby laundry. We moved the cradle up to our bedroom last weekend while we were working in the basement and now need to find the sheets and stuff to go with it! Starting to get excited about the actual baby prep stuff now!

Ohhhh...I am jealous. I have been nothing but tired lately. I know it will kick in sooner or later, and I have had a few bursts...but my house could use my crazy inner nesty lady right about now. I think I am starting to become anemic, because most of the time I just want to lay on the couch and chill, which just isn't me. Gonna ask for another blood draw tomorrow to see if it has dipped even more or if it's just me being lazy!

I'm jealous, too. I need some nesting. Our house desperately needs some deep cleaning and decluttering and reorganizing. We did get some done this weekend, but I didn't have that lovely "I need to clean!" feeling. Just the "ugh, do I have to do this?" one.

I went through that a couple of weeks ago, but it died down. I know it'll come back, though, and there will be plenty to do once it arrives! This weekend, I actually called off housework plans and insisted on driving up the mountain (where it's 30 degrees cooler) so we could hang out and have a picnic and reconnect. It was a LONG week for our family in multiple ways and we really, really needed it. I'm SO GLAD we took the opportunity! I feel restored.

Totally understand needing to have family time. DH took Friday off and we went to The Farm with the kids and spent like 4 hours there and came home and put the tent up in the backyard and DH and The Bigs slept in the tent Friday night. Then, Saturday was a cleaning day.

I wrote out my to-do list a while back and have been itching to get working on it. I think a large part of it though is that I never like sitting on something I know needs to be done, whether pregnant or not. I might end up starting a bit early than I planned, I'm thinking next week maybe? I figure if I really clean the house now, it will be easier to do a final cleaning right before the baby is born. Plus you never know if you're going to be put on bed-rest and I can definitely see that being a scenario for us.

Nope...I'm still waiting for it to kick in. Hopefully soon though, I feel like time's running out a bit.

This week, I have tackled the office and the living room. I am still not satisfied with the office though... At least I got all the homeschool curriculum and supplies sorted and organized, but the office material is still a big mess! Think I will revisit it once I finish the rest of the rooms. We are literally going through every.single.drawer and closet and cupboard in the house and decluttering. It feels so good! DH came home last night and commented on how clean and peaceful the house looked after all my hard work yesterday. Don't think we have organized like this since we moved in to this house a little over 2 1/2 years ago!

This weekend, we cleaned out the garage and the playroom! And this morning I hit DD2's bedroom. It feels so great to be getting so much decluttering done! I think the kids think I am a little crazy with all the cleaning, but it is really helping me feel like we are preparing for baby's arrival. This weekend, we are going to try and yard sale on Saturday and then donate the rest! I told DH I am just ready to get the crap out of the house for good!
