    Default Oh sleep...

I'm starting to dread going to bed at night... the belly is getting so big that I am having to flip sides every hour and a half or so. This is such an ordeal... I have been waking DH up a lot at night because of the effort it takes me to change sides! I am now sleeping with a pillow for my head, one between my legs/under my belly, one on my backside, and one infront of me. Good thing we have a King bed! My arms go numb at night on whatever side I am laying on... my hips are aching too... and I have to get up to pee twice a night now. Sometimes, I think it would just be easier to not go to bed at night.

Oh, boo! I'd actually still be sleeping fine if it weren't for the gosh darn three year old who forgot how to STTN.

And of course once I'm awake, even if DH deals with her, then I notice baby kicking me in the bladder, and my need to move, etc etc...zzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh yes! And we're not going to be getting any more sleep once the baby comes! My LO doesn't like me sleeping on my left side, he'll kick me in the ribs until I roll over. (plus, my throat gurgles when I'm on my left side, what's up with that?) So my right hip ends up really sore, 'casue I'm on it all night. And the reflux. And getting up every two hours (or less) to pee. I feel like a camel. I spend all day drinking water, but it all ends up in my legs. So then I spend all night peeing the swelling down.

I can't lie on my back or I feel really dizzy but sometimes if I need to get off one hip and can't actually roll over to the other side for some reason, I'll wedge a pillow behind me and roll back on that so I'm kind of tilted. Helps with a sore hip/shoulder if I really need to give it a break!

Throat gurgling...that's a new one! LOL

hah! DH keeps asking "why are you so tired, you got plenty of sleep?" I've tried to explain that being in bed 8 hours does not mean I got 8 hours of sleep! And even if it did, I could probably use 10 hours at this point.
I have to roll over pretty often. My hips start to ache but then when I try to roll I get a lot of pain in my pubic bone and it's hard to move. DH usually sleeps through it, but sometimes when he's awake he gives me a helpful shove.

I should probably pull out an extra pillow. I haven't done that yet.

I am an EXTREMELY picky sleeper (preggo or not) so I sleep with extra pillows at all times.

My daughter woke up four times on Saturday night BUT she then came in our bed at 5:30 and slept in until 8:00. EIGHT. IN THE MORNING. I can assure you she has never slept that late or anything close to it in her entire life. Great time to start, kiddo!

8!!! Oh, I wouldn't know what to do with myself
I'm suffering from the middle of the night insomnia at the moment. Driving me mad! I'll get up to go for a very much needed wee and something to eat, because apparently now, I can't last longer than 4 hours without eating, and then I'll be awake for hours! Wide awake. Not a happy camper.

Ugh, that stinks, Steph!!! Addy actually SLEPT IN HER OWN BED THROUGH THE ENTIRE NIGHT last night...that shouldn't be so exciting, but considering she hasn't truly done it in like a month, I am over the moon.

Unfortunately, one good night's sleep has perversely made me feel MORE tired...like, now it's greedy and just wants to SLEEP. I did get woken up by thunderstorms a couple of times, but I went right back to sleep so I don't think it's that. Maybe she'll take pity on me a few days in a row and I can actually catch up...one can dream, right?
