How do you plan to celebrate Easter if you celebrate the holiday?

Our church is having a huge Easter outreach and my husband is helping out, so I won't be able to attend because it's a "family service" and I just don't want to deal with having the boys all by myself! We are having a Good Friday service which I'll attend, we will have a little celebration on Saturday, and then probably just hang out at home on Sunday and wait for my hubby to get home.

We're not religious, but all in favor of holidays and spring, so we'll do Easter basket and an egg hunt. We're doing (almost) no candy again this year. The baskets are just toys and books and the eggs will be filled with trail mix. I'd love to celebrate with my family but I'm still feeling too sick to want to travel.

The kids and I have been doing Easter crafts this week and reading Easter books. We'll probably dye Easter eggs the night before. Then, the kids will get new pjs to wear to bed. I found the cutest Bunny PJs for all three of them! I have a thang for dressing them in matching clothes. Once the peeps are in bed, DH and I will probably watch "The Passion of the Christ". On Easter, we'll head to church for Easter service. Then, come home and do their Easter baskets. They are getting a small box of jelly bellies as their only candy in their baskets this year. The rest of their stuff is books, bubbles, etc... and two little baby dolls for DD2. We have friends coming over for Easter lunch. We're making ham, cheesy potatoes, rolls, green salad, etc. It should be yummy! We'll also do a little Easter egg hunt for all the kids before they leave. I am looking forward to the family day and for being able to have some time with our friends!

We'll do a small Easter egg hunt with the boys and that's about it. I might take the boys out to some parks for some nice play times too.

My cousin and her five year old are coming, and we'll go to an egg hunt. Addy's basket will have a book, some flip flops, some stickers, a bubble blower, a little pink bath toy duck, and a ring pop (had to get her SOME candy since it's all she says she wants for Easter...) I may throw in some kind of non-candy treat too, but that should do it Last year I got her a stuffed bunny and six plastic eggs, and I filled half with M&Ms and half with colored goldfish crackers. She hasn't stopped talking about it!
