So I had my ultrasound a few weeks ago and the ultrasound tech told me that day that my placenta was laying pretty low close to preveria. The same thing happeend when I was pregnant with my youngest but it corrected itself so I figure it will do the same this time. Well our doctors office has an online system that when test results come back it notifys you and you can get online and see what the results were and any notes from the doctor. Well since I see a midwife she said a dr was gonna review the ultrasound. I just got notified of the dr's notes and it says complete preveria and grade 0. Does anyone know what this means? It also says complete pelvic rest until next ultrasoundi n 6 weeks.
I just wanted to let you know I'll be thinking of you. I had complete previa at 18w with my 4th (an October 2013 baby) It was super stressful, but everything turned out fine. To summarize, I had a bunch of extra u/s and the placenta moved very, very slowly out of the way. I was (just barely) cleared for vaginal delivery at 38w and had baby at 41w with no complications (natural vaginal birth)
If the placenta doesn't move out of the way, the doc will schedule a c/s for usually 37-38 weeks. There is a risk of hemorrhaging, so make sure you follow the doctor's restrictions and call if you have any bleeding. I hope everything goes well for you.
Oh, and grade zero may refer to the quality of the placenta. if so, grade zero is a good thing.
