Ronin had his 1 year appointment today. The needles were brutal, poor little guy was so upset and when the nurse came to give him a sticker he flinched away from her when she put it on his arm.
Thankfully they didn't say too much about his weight even though he has dropped down off his previous curve, same with his length. They don't even want follow up this time, though I am guessing if it's still dropping at his 18months appt they will start doing more. They also didn't say too much about the fact he doesn't sleep or that he is still breastfed, though I knew they would be all good with the breastfeedin, it's just the feeding at night she did mention briefly.
So his stats
Weight- 19lbs (5th percentile)
Length- 27.5 iches (3rd percentile)
Head circ.- 18.6 inches (above 50th percentile.)
Shots are the pits.. Im pretty sure even at this age, babies can recongnize the face with pain.. He was probably scared of that nurse after she stung him with that shot..

Are you concerned about his weight? If so, just so you know, Rowan is only 7oz heavier, and she's in the 24th percentile, so I think the curve is pretty tight at that end. If 7oz on that end of the chart means 19 percentile points higher, then a simple bowel movement can probably move them pretty far up and down the chart.

Expecting #2 in August 2013
I'm not concerned, he eats lunch and dinner, sometimes breakfast (often he just has a big nurse) and two snacks and the only time he is ever still is when he is asleep, so not very often. He looks healthy and my hubby was small until his teens.
Aw, poor guy getting shots. No fun whatsoever. Have you looked up the percentile for his weight per his height? According to the WHO, 19 lbs is in the 50th percentile for his length. I'm glad they didn't bug you about his sleeping habits. I still don't think its any business of theirs.
Aww, poor guy with his shots. That is so sad about the sticker.
I'm glad your not concerned about his weight. Odin might just be hitting the 18lb mark (big maybe) at this point but eats like a champ. The doc. has learned better than to give me grief about his weight.
