Thread: 6 months

Here is Lainey's 6 month update (I still CANNOT believe she is 6 months old!)

15 lbs 12 oz (up from 6 lbs 13 oz) (50th percentile)
25 inches (25th percentile)
Head circumference - I forget the measurement, but it was 2nd percentile!!!!

She got the rotavirus vaccine but we're waiting a month to do the rest of the shots. Last month she got everything at once and it was pretty hard on her, so we're spacing it out and giving her little body a chance to process everything a little more gradually.

She got to taste sweet potatoes a couple days before her 6 month birthday and she was less than impressed. I am pretty sure she swallowed none of them! We decided to wait a bit to try again. Other than that little taste, she was 100% exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of her life. This is something that was very important to me and despite the insanity of grad school I managed to do it!

And, since I haven't shared any pics since she was born (I get paranoid about sharing pics of my kids in a public forum, but I'm just gonna throw caution to the wind tonight!):

Congratulations on reaching your goal of EBFing for 6 months! I know how hard it is throwing grad school into the mix. Way to go mama! She has the most beautiful dark eyes. Such a cutie! I love the look on her face. What is this stuff, Mom?!

Teagan had a rough time with her first few rounds as well. Her poor little legs were so sore and she was super cranky. Her 6 month shots appear to not be bothering her nearly as much. I think it's due to her increased mobility. Hopefully Lainey will do well with the next set. Shots are NO fun!

Congrats on the 6 months EBF and love the picture. She sounds like she has good stats, and is growing well. Ronin had a rough time with his previous needles, but didn't even get a temperature this time, so I hope when she gets her needles she does well.

She is definately adorable! I agree...share pics more often BTW - we find ourselves calling Delaney.....laney CONGRATS on the 6mo too. Huge accomplishment.
