Annoyed... And rash question

Chloe has had this weird rash going on for about a month and a half. I've tried eliminating things to figure point what is causing it. I've tried omitting baby food, not putting her in the grass or floor.....nothing is working. Shes only getting it on her arms, legs, thighs and face.
Took her to the doctor today and they said its bug bites.... Well they must be ok invisible because I havent seen a thing. No one else in the house has had a single bite... I think its a allergic reaction.
My dad keeps telling me that I need to fix it and says things like poor baby, lime im a bad mom.
They dont seem to bother her at all and go away without scaring...
I made an appointment with a different doctor..
Idk what else I can do.

could it be excema? or something from the heat like a heat rash? my mom says that kind of stuff too.

DS1 gets a weird rash, I took him to the doc and he said he had no idea what it was but gave us some cream and it went away. It kind of looks like excema...but not. Is Chole's a spotty rash or a flacky skin rash?

Can you post a picture for us? I have keratosis which is just a bit of redness and bumpiness on my arms (and lately my thighs). It's harmless and painless, but looks unsightly when it flare up. . . just a thought.

What about detergent or the baby wash you are using? Could that be it?

It sounds to me like it might be keratosis. I also ave it on my arms. No pain or anything, just ugly.

But Pics would help. Other than that :grouphug: you're a GREAT mama and you'll figure out what's going on with Chloe.

It could be excema, like the others said. Lily had a weird rash on her neck one time and the ped said it was excema and to put a&d ointment or aquafor on it 2x a day until it got a little better, then use baby lotion on it after that. It cleared up w/in a few weeks. Also, is she still bf, or is she ff now? If so, what kind of formula are you using? Lily is also allergic to milk and breaks out in a rash anytime she has milk or other dairy. That rash is usually on her face and chest, although I'm sure it would spread if she continued to have a lot of dairy.

Well we can rule out keratosis. They look kind of like chicken pox to me, but I think your ped would have been able to diagnose that. And you said they go away. . . hmmm, I don't know.

On the bright side, those are some very cute, chunky little baby legs!

These were my pedi's exzact words. "They are definately bug bites, but I have no idea what it could be. Good luck".... I just felt like she really didnt care. Hopefully this new doctor is better.

They definitely look like bug bites and not a rash to me but you said they don't bother her, right? If they were bed bugs I'm fairly certain they'd be painful/itchy. Even if they were mosquito bites. We have terrible little mosquitos here that you can't see and that leave welts the size of cherries on you. Hmmmm. How long do they last? Do they only appear in the morning after she's been in your bed. Some bugs like certain people better than others. So, it's possible that she's getting bitten when she's right next to you. Maybe put out a strip of fly paper in your room? If it's something that flies you might find it. Or, do you have carpet? Do you have pets? Could it be fleas living in your carpet and they are biting her legs and thighs when she's sitting on the carpet? You might want to give her head a thorough check.

Def bug bites. The only thing I can think of would be fleas as they tend to just bite the weakest mammal in the home. We had LOADS of fleas when we got new carpets, taking the old ones up disturbed them all. The cats were covered and occasionally one would jump on DS1 (he was really tiny at the time). We got rid of them now so they shouldn't get Tobey.

But yeah, I'd be pissed at your doc too. Not very helpful!!!

Good luck? :WTF:

They do look like bug bites to me too. Have you thought about calling a pest control company to treat/spray the house to try and get rid of anything that might be there? I really need to do mine, but I've been putting it off. We have ants that have been driving me crazy, and the cats have fleas even though they have been treated.

Okay, my previous comment is pointless because I just saw the picture and I agree that they look like bug bites. Is there anywhere that she is that no one else generally is? Like...is she on the carpet a lot and no one else really is? Does she go outside? Could they be mosquito bites? I know some people get bitten a lot more often than others. *shrugs* Sorry I'm not very helpful.

we don't have any pets and we have hard wood floors... it def. could be mosquitoes because we have them here too. I'd just think I would have seen something..
I have given pest control a thought, but chemicals totally gross me out. I am applying a cream the doctor gave me and I'm keeping better track of her bites and daily activities to see when they are showing up.
I think I might also buy a mattress cover, it seals your entire mattress up and some for our pillows too.
I absolutely hate our new rent house. dh is convinced that it has nothing to do with the house but I am not so much convinced anymore. Thankfully we only signed a 6 month lease.

I'm useless with no suggestions, but I hope you figure it out.
