Birthday presant

what are you all getting your LO for their birthday? I'm stuck. He's inherited so much from DS1 he doesn't need anything but I want to get him something special

We don't do big presents for the 1st birthday or the first couple Christmas's. Clara will get one little toy from us and probably some money in her savings account, that's it. We have TOO much stuff as it is. One of my favorite things from DS was that I did a photo book online of his first year. I gave one to MIL, one to my mom and kept one for when DS gets older.

One way or another, Teagan is getting this. The perfect gift for the daughter of two bike obsessed parents ;).

OMGosh! I was looking to get one for Clara at some point. She won't be ready for it for a while, but that is so cool that her and Teagan will have similar cycles!

It's soooo unbelievable cool, isn't it! It says it's appropriate for 1 year olds. I'm guessing it means 1 year olds that are walking well. Even if Teagan isn't ready for it by her birthday, it won't be long before she is and it will be a great toy for her for several years. Well worth the price, IMO. Of course, I'd prefer if one of her grandparents were to get it for her ;).

That's cute Erin! Smile

Just yesterday I started an Aiden wish list on Amazon, so when people ask what to get him for his birthday or Christmas, I can give them this!

Yeah, the first kids always get the cool stuff and the next children get the leftovers, you know whatever isn't broken or chewed all to pieces!

Oh, Grady and Clara will both get their share of really awesome stuff, we just don't do it when they're really little, there's not much point, we save it for when it really matters and when they'll be able to realize how much we rock for getting them cool stuff Lol

I got DD1 a version of this doll: http://us.corolle.com/products/Calin-Sorbet It's been her favorite since about 18 months. I plan to get DD2 a Corolle doll too.

I have Ronin's present all ready to go (and before you think I am a super organised freak, we have big toy sales here throughout July and we bought it while it was rediced to save money) He is getting one of those smart trikes where it grows with them. We thought it was a good investment because not only will it last Ronin a few years the next baby can use it too.

LOL...Ok see, DH can't say I'm crazy. Got Odin his first balance bike 4 months ago when I saw it on clearance. Its in its box in the garage until needed.

I'm of the same nature that I don't get the baby bday/holiday gifts until they are older. And we have so many things form DS1 and our preschool.

I have no idea. I'm like you, I have so much stuff from Lily that I seriously can't imagine ANY more toys that he could need!!! And my kids seriously have hundreds of books already. I'm sure I'll figure something out, but I'm going to wait until about 1 month before his bday before making a list just to see what he is into at that point.

It will probably be something super boyish. Not all of my DDs toys are girly, but she is definitely a girly-girl, so I have to be missing something a boy would really like.

It's difficult with TWO older brothers...the poor kid has nothing but hand me downs! I of course don't mind, and he doesn't even want what is supposed to be for him. He wants Spider Man, Legos, and Matchbox cars. Smile

I think I'll be throwing a big party for him and Jacob in October, so that will be his gift!

I want to get DD this luggage set.http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=pink+luggage+set&hl=en&prmd=ivns&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1024&bih=577&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=4845426294108521633&sa=X&ei=pkwzTomME-mmsQKMr6H4Cg&ved=0CMEBEPMCMAg At this age, she won't care if she doesn't get toys and since we visit my parents about once a month, this would be something we would use a lot and she can use it for several years. I currently am using a beat up suitcase with a broken zipper for her when we visit.
