We are well over on 11 so I thought I would start 12. Now who will be our next Queen?

Proud Mummy moment, I have been saying Ta to Ronin whenever I hand him food, well tonight I handed him something to eat and he said something that sounded like Ta. I'm sure it won't be consitent but it's a start.

So what are people up to this weekend? Tomorrow I am going down to a community event to help with a stall for work, poor Ronin will have to hang out there for a couple of hours with me and then tomorrow night we will go down to the relay for life which is in town this weekend. His daycare has a team and a friend of mine is on a team and her friend who will also be there just loves Ron in. Hubby has Sunday off and if the weather is good we will go swimming like we had planned last week. I really want him to do some housework on his next day off though seeing as his cousin and maybe his brother will be here in a couple of weeks. His 'cave' stinks and it is right next to our room.

Ever since Ronin was sick last week he will not sleep in his cot. Before geting sick he would do a few hours I n his cot in h is room and then have a feed and go in the portacot next to the bed after each feed. Now he will not even do the portacot he just wakes up within five minutes screaming. I am trying to get him to go to sleep by going through the bed time routine with him and his monkey and have monkey act sleepy and go to sleep, but Ronin just thinks it's a big joke. He is asleep on the bed next to me right now and I am tired and should go to sleep seeing as hubby rides his bike to and from work now, but I tend to wait up for him to make sure he gets home safe

sounds like you have a busy weekend. We have no plans.

I hope you can get his sleeping back on track.

I'm not hopeful. He has never been good. I was thinking about it the other day, since the cyclone in Febuary and him getting so sick afterwards that's where the big change seemed to happen. He was starting to getva bit better before that. It also doesn't help that he always had to be dragged out of bed to pick hubby up either

no, that definitely didn't help. He is probably in a routine now because that is what he knows.

i just saw on the news flooding that is going on in the eastern us. Terrible!

My cousins annoy me sometimes. There are three of them all the same age with two kids each, two married one not. So often all I see on their facebook status is 'I want to go out in town or that they are going out and getting drunk. One of them seriously had those posts every weekend for a long time. Half the time I swear their mother's are raising their kids.

Oh that's not good about the flooding. I hope it's not too bad and that no one here is affected. Flooding is the worst the damage it causes is huge and not only that you get the mud in everything which can be so hard to clean

oh that's annoying. Everyone deserves to go out and have fun, but when you are doing it all the time it's no good.

i havn't really been paying attention, but it looks kinda bad in some places. there is a hurricane going up the east coast soon so it might cause more problems too.

Maybe. I'd like to get maybe 3-4 hours straight at some stage but I know that is probably still a long time off. I should so be going to sleep but I just can't get my self to go to sleep lately, must be too much work stress

Discovered how to motivate DS to creep along furniture quickly. Food. Kid just ate an entired pita with hummus. He's actually throwing a fit for more right now. He's so weird.

Nothing much going on this weekend. Hoping to get DH to help me clean the patio. Maybe we can start using it now that it's no longer over 100º every day. Sunday is 9/11, so we'll be attending a service here on base.

And while I was typing the above out, DS took off for what I like to joke is his "morning snack" aka the cat food.

This is not going to be a good day. Aiden slept horribly last night. He's already rubbing his eyes and refusing to go down for a nap. :banghead:

You can pin any picture online! Anna pinned her own etsy stuff. Smile

It makes you put something in the discription box when pinning. Kinda annoying at times.

I got a hat for Lucas for his birthday and his cake smashing pictures. When I showed it to DH last night he was pretty sure Lucas wouldn't wear it. I put it on him today to see his reaction and he didn't even seem to notice it. It doesn't really stay on his head though!

Ugh. I'm horrible at making small decisions. Like which iPod speaker dock to buy. I've at least narrowed it down. Got to make a decision in the next two hours, so I can have overnight shipping. Cause I don't want to wait till Tuesday to get one!

That's how I motivate Ronin to stand unassited, give him food in one hand and then hand him another piece

Hehe. I hope you got photos. Ronin will only do it if the food is interesting enough and you have to time it right because if he has started eating the other piece of food he will just spit it out for the new piece

Okay, I don't remember who but somebody here mentioned wanting something like the Schwinn Easy Steer Tricycle with Removable Canopy. Well, it's $65 with shipping today only over at kids.woot.com.

Wendy, I spent way too much brain power debating what to get for DS's room to play music. Finally settled on portable speakers with iPod dock since we can just use an old iPod for him and we can now have music outside. I kept debating getting one with a radio (but seriously when was the last time I listened to the radio outside of the car?!), one with an alarm clock (which is silly considering DS doesn't need one lol), one with a CD player (we do have kids' books on CD), and one that was just really cool looking w/ lights. See, something simple turned complicated as soon as I got ahold of it. lol

Ahh a shopping addiction. WA it Erin who mentioned that bike. Ronin is getting one of those convertable trikes for his birthday, but ours isn't a big name brand and was on sale, but it was still $45. Take that however your addictiin will allow

I can see the issue all had useful points. I'm no help in matters like that, I get depressed after biggish purchases, the bigger thebourchase the more depressed I get and the longer it lasts

shopping makes me feel better. I love shopping.

You know, it's 10 years later and I still can't get over the crap that those people must have gone through. It still makes me emotional.

Thats how I feel with my floors, they are lino and never seem clean, even if I mop often. Where I used to live I worked with a lady who when her daughter was young mopped two to three times a day because of the dust and lead levels in the soil and even she said mopping that often her floors never seemed clean

I didn't find the swiffer worked. Neither did sponge mops. I use a steam mop now. At least there's no chemicals and the floor dries extremely fast.

I love to second guess my purchases. I just research too much into everything.
