Christa, I'm glad you caught him, he was about to crap in your DS's bed again! You guys like a challenge:)

OH and I forgot this part. The nurse yelled at him because Aiden doesn't have all of his vaccines. She said that he could have a fever b/c of that. Ummm...yeah, cause DS has obviously been having sexual relations or blood contact with strangers for Hep B. The other one? Yeah, the flu shot. Didn't even know it was available here. Why would I? It's 100º outside, it's mid Sept, and no one told us!
DS is missing a couple of other vaccines but she didn't mention those.

Yes, I am frustrated. I have no problem letting a low fever run its course. But it's gotten beyond the low grade point now. Sad

Jackie- yep, it's past the point of riding it out. and *slaps head* about the missing vaccinations causing a fever. Where the heck did she go to freaking school?! For the love of pete, she's just ridiculous!

I'm beginning to wonder if this is the same nurse who annoyed me at Aiden's 6 day old appt. Probably is. Too small of a base. We'll see what she says. I just wish I had another option other than the ER.

Jackie, I'd be very tempted in your position to drive him to San Antonio or San Angelo to see someone there, but would recommend San Antonio. I'm not overwhelmed with the high quality of health care here in Angelo, though I'm certain I'd never be told to overdose my kid on ibuprofen!

My kid is SUPER whiney today. She spent the whole morning following me around wanting to be held. I know we all just hate cuddling our little ones :D, but since she's usually so happy and playful, it concerns me. I wish she could tell me what's bothering her, though I'm guessing she's getting more teeth.

Who wants to come over and help me declutter and kinda stage my house so I can call the realtor. . . ? Anyone?

I'm halfway through Grey's Anatomy! Aiden watched it with me. Just put him down for a nap. Poor kid didn't even complain. Sad

I will be calling my friend and having her double check anything the nurse tells us to give Aiden!

I have to say that Aiden is less whiney right now. Go figure! I hope she cheers up soon.

I don't even want to pack my own house. Blum 3 lol

Not I. I am successfully procrastinating packing my stuff right now. I also have to get it in shape to have the buyers come back over this weekend and go through it a little more carefully than they did the first time. DH and I are going to go through all the outbuildings, like the over stuffed 3 car detached garage, the 1 car attached garage (that is packed to the gills) and the other outbuildings. I also need to get 2 of my horses sold, the horse trailer listed and figure out what I'm doing with my saddles and horse tack. oh man, it sounds worse typed out than it did in my head!

YES, definitely!

We are on alert here in town for an infant abduction. Somehow the police know some lady is planning an infant abduction but since she hasn't done anything yet they can't arrest her. Evidently we are supposed to wait for her to take a baby and then they'll get on it.

my cousin married and had a baby with a whackadoo:rolleyes: she makes the weirdest comments on facebook. I havn't met her in person so she could be really nice, but she seems like a huge flakey attention *****. welcome to the family!

Apparently they already know who she is. I have a picture of her from a forward on my phone. I wonder how she feels about taking 3 year old boys LOL! He's been a PILL today and just for the record, that is not the word I'm saying in my head.

How am I supposed to procrastinate doing paperwork and cleaning if you all are busy being productive and not chatting? I mean, come on, help me out here or I'm going to have to do something.

Got the mouse thrown out finally. I thought if I just ignored it, it would disappear....no such luck. I felt terrible seeing him glued to the trap. If only you could potty train the little rodents and then I would be happy to have them as house guests to clean the floors that my pooch refuses to do.

Christa, I wouldn't call me productive. I've been cuddling my whiney baby. No fever, and no apparent illness, but she just wants to be held. . . Weird, especially since she is SO not a cuddly kid! AND instead of tackling my mounting to-do list, I baked a chocolate chip cheesecake. . . It'll be a while yet before it's ready to eat, but It will have a slice (or 2) missing by the time I go to bed tonight.

That's nuts about the child abduction, but I guess if she has yet to break any laws there really is nothing they can do about it. Hopefully she thinks better of her plans.

Just got back from the clinic. We got the tired worn out looking pedi who ended up showing up to see Aiden rather than the nurse. THANK GOD. lol. I trust the pedi when it comes to medical stuff (just not for parenting advice lol). Anyways, ruled out throat issues and ear infection. Because I had UTI issues for many years and had to have surgery for it, she's concerned that he might have issues. However, the mostly logical cause is roseola. So we're hoping his fever breaks this weekend and he gets an awful looking rash. Who would have thought I'd be looking forward to DS getting a rash?! Apparently there have been a few cases of it the past two weeks. She did offer to give us antibiotics in case it is a UTI, but I'm not about to do that unless I know it's necessary. She recommended waiting on them herself, but I guess most parents insist on it anyways. Why would I want to torture myself and DS with taking medicine when it's not needed?!

Oh, and DS is losing weight like I thought. He was over 20lbs according to my scale earlier this summer. At his 9 month appt he was 19lbs, 14oz. Today he was 19lbs, 5oz. Pedi said that she's not concerned yet about it. We'll just see where he is at a year. He's not on his curve anymore, but he's on the overall curve still at least .

Jackie, I'm glad it doesn't seem serious, hopefully he'll get his rash and then get better. I hate when you know something is bothering them and you can't figure it out.

So I'm eager for my cheesecake to cool enough for me to eat some of it! Horrible! As if I need anything like cheesecake!! But I think I'm supposed to get a pass since I'm pregnant. . . right?

Okay. Lyla is napping. Yahoo and I really should AT LEAST do dishes today. They are piling up.

Jackie- that's great news. I was wondering about his ears and throat, that always seems to be of concern. I hope he gets a rash....yep, it felt weird wishing that on your child.

Anna- I LOVE cheesecake. Can I come over, watch tv with you and eat cheesecake??? Pretty please, it's really the best way to procrastinate.

YES! If you can ignore the pile of dishes and the general clutter around the house, come on over! I would love some help with my procrastination!

Ugh. Bought 2 new ends tables online since ours are literally falling apart (the nails are working their way out and the glue is no longer working - they were only $40 and bought 5 years ago.). Well, bought 2 off of overstock. Stupid table isn't lining up right, so the damn thing rocks like crazy which means Aiden will be able to tip it over easier. And it's MUCH darker than the picture. I don't want to friggin return them b/c I know we won't get all of our money back since it's now an opened package. It was the first table that I liked the picture of. I do like the look of it, but it's not going to work out. Sad

Okay, so anyone have any tips for asparagus? They had frozen ones half price at the commissary. So I bought a package. Want to make them for dinner to go with steaks and whole wheat macaroni and cheese. Any quick sauce or something I can put on them? I'm sure frozen aren't as good as fresh. I never make asparagus because they're hard to find here and DH says he doesn't eat them. I got him to try Brussels sprouts earlier this year, so why not asparagus?

That's what I'm afraid of! I love it but afraid it'll be a lot worse tasting after I get through with it.

You need to make official complaints more, I do it all the time, although here no one cares. I threatened the tax deapartment with taking them to court after I stated they no longer had the authority to take a direct debit from my account as I was going to pay the bill in full and they continued to take the money, even though it was completly illegal on their behalf (they record all calls and went back and listened) they still did nothing.

Hope you get something free!

I like shutterfly for basic 4x6s for throwing in an album or sharing with people (like my grandmother who doesn't have computer access). But I want to print off 8x10s and large of really nice quality of my favorite pictures of Aiden for the next house. Anyone with any suggestions for online places?

Jackie, shutterfly might be ok but I am still waiting for photos i ordered 3 weeks ago. Too long!!! I would probably only use it for free prints or codes. What about Kodak? I am trying them next because i found a code online for 50 free prints. I signed up with both e-mails for a code so I will get 100 free prints.

I would be furious!!!! stuff like that always gets me really irate lol. I seriously start acting like a mad woman when I have to deal with stupid companies and their customer service which is why i prefer e-mail haha.

The quality and price of the one i use it fine, but every.single.time I go they are not ready. Every time!!! I always send my photos online and they go directly to their system to be printed and i pick them up. That's it. I used to work for that company as the sole photo printer so unless things have changed, I know how things work in the photo lab. Online orders go directly to their computer and they hit print and they come out. Simple. There is no editing or anything so WTF. I have even been giving them extra time. Sending my orders in the morning and going to pick them up and they are not ready. 3-4 hours is more then enough time to print 25 pictures. YOU HIT A BUTTON!!!! Did i mention all online orders are a 1 hour service??!!! yes, I am furious and irate Blum 3 I'm not asking too much am i?? I like going in, picking my stuff up and leaving. not being told "nope, not ready you will have to come back or wait" today, I did come back and guess what?? "ooops, end of the photo roll" i almost strangled him. Seriously, i have given almost every employee there attitude over this. Maybe that is why my orders are never ready Lol

i think it is Jackie. The e-mail said there could be a border delay and estimated date was the 21st. At least they were free, I'm not irate with them. yet..lol

Wendy, 10 days?? wtf!! Sometimes i think I should go back there and show them how it's done. That crap hardly ever happened when I was back there and if it did, it was because we were swamped or had major printer issues.

do the free prints work for you too? I wasn't sure if it was just Canada or not. I'm going to use mine for Lucas' party. Pretty sure I will have tons of pics.
