I wasn't trying to hide. My mom had called me finally (I thought we were going to video chat this afternoon, but she never called and said she would initiate it!), but whenever I tried to post it wouldn't. Very strange.

Hubby is supposed to watch Ronin for me soon so I can wash up and have some non climbing frame Mummy time. Wonder if it will happen.

Actually I am going to brag on hubby a bit now, because as much as I whinge about him I really do love him.
His chef is having him run the buffet tonight, on his own with no qualified chef there
He also had to make a butter sculpture for work yesterday and here is his effort

Ignore all the junk shoved under my house we will get it sorted one day

There is foam underneath, but yeah thankfully it's a special butter that doesn't melt so much.

Hubby was telling me today that a guy he works with has offered to come and clean the outside of our house as payment for hubby cutting a stone for him. It's in dire need of doing but would cost too much, but now it will be done for free, we just have to get the chemicals,, and my Mum said she has some at her place we can have. I really wish I could afford to reclad and paint but little things at a time, I'm thinking of repainting the stair rails soon though, they look terrible.

Hubby is a perfectionist and didn't think it was good enough.
I am just quietly going to say Ronin may be getting himself ready to STTN, we are on day three of barely any waking, maybe twice and very easy to settle and passes out again very quickly. Now to get him to do it in his own bed

Molly, that's a great present! Hope you like it. I've heard good things about them. Smile

Well, I went out and did 4 hours of after Christmas shopping earlier today. I did take my sweet time since Aiden was such a good shopper (he even napped for well over an hour in Kohl's). I got a few new decorative things for good prices (hello 75% off!) and some much needed winter clothing (since I have none and DH is tired of seeing me wear the exact same 3 sweaters over and over). I'm pretty much shopped out for a long while, but I enjoyed getting some new decorations that will be harder for Aiden to destroy. Walmart has their recordable Christmas story books (normally $28!) for $8 so I got 2 to put away as presents for next year.
Oh! And while I was out I found an Aldi here! That make me so happy! I'm probably going to go to it tomorrow. I haven't had one since I lived back home, so I"m excited. Cheap groceries here I come!!!!

Any tips for getting him to do it in his own bed? I need curtains and locks on all the screems ( because of the tyoes of windiws they are the screens all slide so the window can be opened) before he can go into his big boy room, so i'm aiming for the cot still. Webarebalso going to trybaiming for going to bed at a decent hour as well, but that may be harder because he is a night owl like his daddy

With Aiden we ended up just constantly putting him down in his crib every time he woke up and eventually he STTN. For awhile (and I know this has worked for others just not us) we tried putting him in his crib to start off the night and then cosleeping the rest of the time. The thought is they'll increase the time in the crib till eventually STTN. Aiden was doing well with this, but then near the end of last summer decided he wanted to wake up 999 times a night which is when we did the constantly putting him back in his crib after calming him down. I know some people have had good luck with putting the crib up against their bed and then slowly moving it away from the bed and eventually just moving it into the kid's room.

We have been trying this forever, but he wakes up screaming in the cot in his room, its like he has been scared of it. If he is in with us he sleeps well right now, alone not so much, I have even filled his cot with a few stuffed toys for to try an take away the alone feeling a bit. I guess I will just keep it up in the new year and hope for the best, maybe the sleeping through part shows he is ready for a change, if not I know I function on next to no sleep

we still have nights where Lucas wakes up. If I go in and lay him back down he screams his head off until i give him a bottle. I'm not sure why some nights he will STTN no problem and others he will wake up.

I know it's all going to go downhill next week when he starts 'boot camp at daycare in the new room. Would it be appropriate for me to send him in what I call his army outfit on his first day next week, it's a camp print nappy and a back singlet

I hope he starts STTN for you. I have no suggestions sorry! I love Aldi's we have one & hit it up allthe time.
I think Madison's a little plugged up. She has her face planted in the couch & is grunting. Ha.
Anna what kitchen did you get for Lyla?

Wendy, the only STTN advice I has is persistence, patience and consistency. It'll happen eventually.

Molly, it's a cheapo little plastic kitchen from one of the dollar stores. I think I paid maybe $35 for it. I figured it'd get her by for this year. So far she absolutely loves it. She's never had a toy that she's played with for such a long time.

I am so stinking miserable! I have totally caught yet another cold. I don't even know how to deal with this, I NEVER get sick and now it's like one cold on top of another. And DH is driving me crazy still. I just want to run away to some nice desert island where I don't have to deal with anyone.

Colds are such a pain. Anna, all I can suggest is taking vitamins and probiotics every day to try to bolster your immune system. DD1 started preschool this year and she has brought home a million viruses.

so this evening I noticed Lucas had two red spots under his chin. You remember I mentioned there was a kid at his daycare with chicken pox right??! i have no idea if that is what it is or not, but i have to go back to work tomorrow and dh is home with him. He was also in contact with a lot of kids this past weekend and my pregnant SIL although he wasn't too close to her. gah!!!!

I still wake constantly and Ronin is still waking briefly a couple of times a night, but compared to what he was doing it's getting closer to STTN. The problem is he wakes breifly and it takes me ages to get back to sleep.

Just got number 8 through. He is chewing his hand off constantly lately but in the two seconds he allows me to feel in his mouth I can't feel anything that might be coming through.

We were at 6 teeth forever and then last week #7 came in. I think 8, 9 and 10 won't be too far behind, but then I've been fooled before.

Where is everyone tonight?

My brother got engaged yesterday. His now fiancee has posted the engagement as a status update about 4 different ways and changed her FB status within an hour of him proposing.

Lyla went down shockingly easy tonight. I'm nervous now. Oh, and in pg news, I'll be in the double digits this week!! Is this going by really fast or is it just me?

lol.
My BIL and his GF have lived together for 8 years and bought a house together about 2 years ago. This Christmas he gave her a big, sparkly diamond ring that she is wearing on her wedding ring finger. She posted a pic of her wearing it on fb and got tons of congrats on being engaged, but we, the family, hadn't heard anything. So, lots of confusing texts later we find out it is "just jewelry" and they are not engaged, but they are not correcting people who think that they are. He doesn't want to "rush it." Messed up? yep.

AMAZING. I feel like my son has two extremes - he either wakes up 999 times or STTN (or close to it). Right now we're on an upswing with him mostly STTN. I'm sure that'll change at some point and I'll be banging my head against the wall. But for now I'm enjoying every second of glorious sleep. ((hugs)) One day you WILL sleep. Even if it means shipping her off to grandparents or to summer camp. Lol

Ugh. We have 6 teeth and have had 6 teeth since well, sometime before his birthday. He's chewing on his fingers, but I don't see or feel anything.

Here is what I was doing:

I was trying to improve the CD blinkie I made for Jackie a while back.

For some reason whenever I think of redoing that blinkie, I still want to make it red. I don't know why, but I'm stuck on red for it. . .
