Clara's Head Growth Chart

for chuckles!

She went from 13.5 circumference at birth, which was in the 25th percentile (sorry, I was mistaken in the other thread, I thought she was in the 10th percentile which is the one just below) up and up and up to now being off the chart.

The 19.5 was the nurses measurement and it was a bit off, the dot just below that is the dr's measurement after doing it twice.

Yes, they're making me come back at 18 months to do another head measurement. He's a little concerned because quick head growth can be a sign of problems BUT and a big BUT is that it is usually accompanied by developmental delays. She's fine, I assured him but he's making me drag the kids back in there to measure her head again anyway.

she doesn't really wear many hats, most of the ones she has are knitted. she really doesn't look "odd" though, not like I'd expect a kid with a head that big to look. BUT my DH has a big head and DS has a big head, so to me they just take after their daddy, big kids with big heads Smile

When Aiden's head at 6 months was at the top of the charts they were all paranoid too. But thankfully his head growth has slowed down big time! I'm pretty sure his head is at least 19" now though. lol
And at least she was kind enough to have the small head at birth. Wink

Toddler hats. Aiden has been in toddler hats (like 2T+) since the beginning of last summer. That cute owl hat I bought him last fall is 2T. Blum 3

You are not kidding!!!!

Her other growth charts compared to this one are pretty funny. She's still short, but her weight is going higher on the chart and then her head went over the chart. She's going to be chubby, short with a big head ROFL I hope she's smart!!!

Teagan was born with a head circ in the 25th percentile (thank god!). All her bits shot up to the 97th percentile by 1 month. Her head is the only bit that's still in the 97th percentile. Its about 19.25 in now.

This talk made me curious. His head is a tad under 19.25". Still my big headed child just like at birth. Blum 3

Lyla's is 19.75inches as of her 15 month appointment. But her head was big when she was born and has grown accordingly. That crazy that her head just grew like that! Genetics are a funny thing.

I hope not! lol Wink
Lainey has always been and still is at about 4th percentile for head size. Her head was 17.25 at her 15 month appointment.

I'm sure she's fine, but it's always best to keep an eye on it to be safe! KUP!

Interesting to see her head growth. How sad is it that I don't even know the size of Odin's head, not even from birth? Sounds like there is a range of head sizes with kiddos though.

So I measures Simon's head tonight out of curiousity since I have never asked at the dr's and they never mention it. It's 20.5 inches according to how I measure anyways. LOL! At least it matches the rest of his giant self!!! AHHAAHAHAH!

haha! That's how Grady's was. He was a big boy but his head matched it. I wish I had his head measurements.
