    Default convertible car seats

    Has anyone switched over?
We just ordered Owen's Marathon, it should be here tomorrow. We also had to buy Josiah (my 2 yo) a new one because my 2 current Marathons are expired, I guess you're supposed to replace car seats every 6 years and they were 7 years old. We bought Josiah a Graco Nautilus because my 4 yo has one and it's a decent car seat for the price.

I got the new Marathon 70 at Albee baby for $209!!! That's a good deal!

That's the same convertible I got Aiden (even got it from albeebaby too)! He's mostly in his infant still, but he uses the MA70 occasionally.

I've only heard of one seat that's good for longer than 6 years.

Tobey will use Alexander's convertible car seat when the time comes. So it's DS1 who ill be getting a new one. And loads of time yet as Tobey fits fine in his travel system seat...he's just heavy

we just got one. Simon is over 21 pounds and 28 inches, and our infant seat only goes to 22 pounds and 29 inches, so we're installing it this week. It's a Safety First one. My mom bought it for us. I liked it because it went the highest in weight for rear facing. and it matches our car's interior.

we still have some time. ours goes to 22lbs 28 or 29 inches and we are at 16lbs 26 inches. this is good because to get a convertible carseat we will need a new car...

Our bucket goes to 30lbs! Odin's is barely 1/2 that so it might be a while.
I need to check our convertibles though since DS1 is 5 so I'm guessing they are nearing the end of their time line. Thanks for that reminder!

Ronin will go in the convertable in the next few weeks as the capsule has to go back end of May.

Sophie's only 15ish pounds and about 27inches tall so we don't have much to worry about just yet... Tho I HATE lugging around her carseat nowadays - it's soooo heavy!!

Hat's off to y'all who are still carrying around the infant seat! I stopped doing that at 3 months. That thing only comes out if he's asleep and I have the stroller to snap it into or if we're at home (and he gets dropped off to finish sleep just inside the door).
