    Default Crying/Whining

    Gahhhh!!!!!

My child will not stop whining and crying over EVERYTHING!!! he freaks out because he can't reach the light switch, or something is out of reach, or he can't PULL HIS SOCKS OFF!! it's driving me nuts!! Of course he doesn't do it at daycare When I am not trying to block him out, I am screaming at my cat and spraying him with water because he is eating the Christmas tree. GAHH!!!!

On the bright side it has been ridiculously warm here for this time of year. Like 10 degrees sooo nice!

I kept wondering why in the chat thread you were saying 10 was warm...then it finally clicked with me that 10C is 50F. So yeah, that would be really warm for you right now! lol.

Aiden is fine as long as he gets his way. As soon as he doesn't get his way he screams. Like looks me in the eyes and screams at me. I really wish this kid would hurry up and talk (I'm sure I'll regret this later). I end up telling him why he can't do what he wants and then ignoring him. Showing him anymore attention just causes his to turn into Drama King where he rolls on the floor and cries. Aiden is starting to get frustrated by his limits too. He chooses to yell at me then too. Nice try kid.

You will....... BUT....... there are many benefits to a talking child.

Clara is a raging ball of fury when she can't get what she wants, I've never even seen DS have meltdowns quite like the little princess can.

well he isn't quite having a meltdown unless i take something away from him. He is just fussing and whining because he can't reach something or do what he wants to I guess. I have been trying to ignore him, it is not easy lol

Oh. The only time Aiden isn't whiny is when he's sitting in the middle of a pile of books. He likes to follow me around and "baby *****" the whole time.

I think something about my presence makes my kid whine and cry. She follows me around, anytime I'm standing up and reaches up to me crying and wanting to be picked up. If I pick her up and sit down with her, she gets mad and yells. If I'm standing up holding her and I put her down, she cries. It's constant crying and whining over every little thing!

I think we're all there with you. Lainey can't be more than a foot away from me and prefers to be held if I'll let her. She follows me around hanging on my pant leg going "Up! Up! Up!"

And then they go to grandmas or the sitters house and they have no idea what you're talking about as the kid is just wonderful there

Even when she's alone with DH! I guess it's something about mom exclusively. Must be because we are the primary caretakers and generally understand what they want better than anyone else. I guess.
