Diarrhea

I probably butchered that word:p Lucas has been having it on and off for a week now. I thought it was the introduction of homo milk but we have stopped giving it to him for now and he is still having diarrhea. I'm not sure what to do, should i take him to the Dr.??? He is perfectly normal otherwise. Eating, sleeping, drinking, peeing lol. He poops 1-2 times a day and it isn't always diarrhea but it usually is at least once a day. thoughts?

I believe you spelled it perfectly!!! Is he teething? I read that teething can cause loose poops.

As long as he's behaving normally and isn't sick, I wouldn't worry about it. Lyla poops 4 or 5 times a day and I'd say that about 3 of those are very runny, diarrhea-like poops.

Mona, I'm not sure but if he is they are possibly molars. He has 8 in the front so it's hard to tell now what is going on in there. He has been chewing on things a lot though so maybe.

I guess I'm not really worried, it just bothers me to see it. Especially so often. He does have a cold right now, but it's just a runny nose and a bit of a cough

Hey!! I can't give you any answer either, BUT we introduced Sophie to Homo milk and I thought she was getting constipated but then today her poop was major diarrhea!! Like EVERYWHERE and it burnt her front bum Sad She's got a bit of a cold, but otherwise everything else is normal, eating, drinking, peeing, blah blah blah... She could be teething, as she still only has her two bottom teeth, but we're not sure... sooooo my whole point to that rant was my kid and your kid have diarrhea Blum 3

i'm glad that Lucas has someone to share his diarrhea with! lol. poor babies:( I noticed his bum was a little red tonight as well. Vaseline does miracles! I have used it before and it would be completely gone the next day.

OK, what on earth is homo milk? Wink Must be a Canadian thing. It can take longer than you'd think to get milk out of his system. You should try cutting it out for a few weeks and then reintroduce it to see if the loose poop returns. Teagan has extra loose poops when she's teething hardcore or has a runny nose or sometimes just randomly. Its especially gross but so long as she's well hydrated I don't worry.

Homo milk-> homogenised milk, aka cow's milk

The extra mucus from runny noses and extra saliva from teething can loosen up poop.

I figured out what homo milk meant, but I have to admit the immature 13 year old in me giggled a little bit.... Smile

See, to me, homo milk means human milk. Blum 3 Is non-homogenized milk frequently sold in Canada? Its mostly restricted to health food stores in the States.

I wouldn't worry either if he seems like he is drinking and happy.

Way TMI but I had the flu last weekend/week pretty bad and I'm still having on and off diarrhea. No more other flu issues but that darn stuff keeps coming back on and off for no real reason. The flu stuff was gona a week ago today so I don't know. Maybe he got a little bug that is running its course like that.
