    Default Dragging?

I dont think Natalie will ever crawl on her knees and hands.. She pretty much drags her body all over the house. I was thinking maybe this was the before stage to crawling but she has been doing it for 3 months with no signs of getting up..

Anyone else LO do this for transportation?

yep!! he is super fast too.he pulls with his arms and pushes with his back feet. He gets up on his hands and knees, but shows no signs of moving his legs.

DS does the army crawl everywhere and has been for 3 months now. Crawling isn't even a milestone though, and there's no "right" way to crawl. Some babies never do any kind of crawling. I was watching The Science of Babies on netflix yesterday afternoon and there were babies in that video who hopped and did all sorts of really weird things to move before walking. My son can crawl on all fours, but finds it much easier to army crawl his way around. I like to call him my lazy mover. He loves to be in motion, but wants to be as lazy as possible with it. He still rolls a lot some days too.

Teagan did that for the longest time. I swore she'd skip crawling and go right to walking. Now I think she likes crawling so much she might just stick with that

It must be similar to the way Owen does it...he doesn't use his knees! Most of the time he is on his hands and feet with his butt up in the air. It's adorable!

Clara actually caught onto a proper crawl quickly. BUT, DS was the army crawling king. He hated to get lifted up to his knees, he growl at you and put himself back down. He never did have a proper crawl. He went from army crawling to "walking" on his hands and feet, like a monkey. Then he started walking finally at 15 months. It was all quite entertaining!

Odin doesn't properly crawl either. He would be a good mop instead. He drags his belly and pulls with his arms and pushes with his toes. He only has ever gotten on his knees to get into a sitting position. Been doing it for 3+ months and doesn't appear to want to crawl any other way.
