Clara enjoying the tractor pull today in the blistering heat and humidity Smile

She really liked watching all the trucks and tractors but she couldn't look up at the camera because the sun was shining right in her eyes every time she did.

Morning. It's a late start today after two crap nights sleep I think Ronin is getting sick. He got some awesom portraits done yesterday but I am too poor to buy them, it's like $300 minimum for very few photos. I am thinking of maybe talking to a child modelling agency about signing him up though. We got the new car yesterday as well.
I then had Ronin scream nearly the entire way home, so about and hour of screaming. I really need coffee today. It's also raining which sucks because I have a couple of places I want to go and none have undercover parking. I want to get some stuff for hubby's fathers day gift and a cake tin for Ronin's daycare cupcakes.

Adorable! Now what exactly is a tractor pull? Like you watch tractor drive by or something? Or do they get stuck in the mud and everyone watches? This concept is foreign to me. Lol

MORNING! Smile $300 is A LOT of money to me! Enjoy your coffee. Coffee is a necessity of life some days.

Oh and my husband told me today that if he gets sent somewhere for training for a few months, but it's not long enough for the Air Force to want to move us (the family) with him, that he wants to pack everything up and throw it in storage. This way Aiden and I can follow him and live in some furnished apartment on a month by month basis. Don't know how the heck he expects to find an apartment like that in some areas depending on what plane he gets, but I like the idea of getting the heck outta here and exploring someplace new for a few months if needed. If DH gets a fighter (what he wants) he'll have 3 months of introduction to fighter fundamentals at another base where the AF won't move us. There are also quite a few heavies (like cargo planes) where their B Course (where you learn how to fly the career plane) is only 6 months and the AF won't move us then either. Guess we'll see what happens, but I was surprised that DH suggested this though since he'll be in training.

Is everyone out partying on a Saturday night. Jackie's post was nearly 2 hours ago. Are you all at Christa's drinking Strawberry Hill?

I went up town, got Ronin down for a sleep and now need to do housework. I was being good and didn't buy a coffee to save some money, get home and theres no milk. I hate black coffee so now I dunked biscuits in the coffee to get some caffine. My place is a mess so I should probably do some housework before my Dad gets here.

Tractor pulls are different depending on where you go, but the name basically says it. It's tractors pulling stuff. There are different categories too, and also done with trucks. All supped up of course. I have never actually been to one, but am familiar with the concept.

I don't do black coffee either. I am cutting waaay back, but still drinking a little in the morning. Last time I had to stop because I figured out it made my m/s a 1000x worse! So far so good this time, but I expect the m/s to start kicking in this next week. It started just after I hit 6 weeks last time.

I've got some jeans on a work mate gave me because they were too big for her and they are a size 12 and the brand they are from usually tend to run small, but they are getting a bit baggy on me. My first thing this morning weight was so awesome today, but yesterday wasn't the best day for meals so thats why I would have been lighter

If your car seats were the same as ours I could talk you through installing, I had to some training for work a few years back and at one stage I could be taking 10 car seats in and out of a car a week. I pput Ronin's in the new car yesterday in under 10 minutes. Getting it the right tautness took a bit longer though

i'm pretty sure it is installed properly according to the instructions, but i can't get it tight. it rocks to much from side to side and front to back. The tether straps won't pull any tighter. I'll have to take it to someone.

I like having mine checked, but it's useless trying to get our local ambulance, it took me like 5 tries to return his capsule because if they have a call out foten the station isn't manned.

Janice, We were having that issue with our carseat too, which is what prompted us to take it to be checked. The secret is that you have to actually pull it tight through the inside of the seat. You pull the cushion off on the corner and you get a better angle on the strap that way to pull it tight. It also helps if you have someone else push down in the seat part of the carseat while you are pulling the tightening strap. That's what the lady at the Safe Kids Coalition showed us.

I'm still not sure that I could do it myself. I have refused to move the carseat since it was 'professionally' installed.

You should get your DH to really lean on it and then try to tighten it.

Ohh and I think I know what cake I am making for Ronin's birthday. My Mum has given me the kids cake book she did most of our birthday cakes out of when we were growing up. I am obviously insane because I am thinking of making the train which looks like . and also has carraiges in the book. Yeah I think I may be insane. I think I'm also going to buy the new version of the book jusy for more cake ideas.

That's a cute cake! But yes, insane. I'm thinking I'll stick to something really easy. Like a sheet cake. ROFL

I remember you moaning on about that puppy. Glad to hear that y'all aren't the ones having to care for it right now!

We've been using latch to install our car seat. I have to move the front seat all the way forward then climb into the back seat b/w the front seat and the car seat and push down and then tug on the straps for the latch. Car seat doesn't move one bit.

Well for the train I will buy the jam and cream roll and just do a plain butter cake for the rest. I will need to try and do a gluten free option somewhere for my aunt as well, maybe I'll just do one carraige and make it Gluten free with Gluten free icing.

There is a chocolate cake I've been meaning to try. I don't usually like chocolate cake, but this one intrigues me. Maybe I should do a trial run soon.

LOL. You definitely get lots of bonus points for that! I will not be attempting fondant because I WILL mess it up. I can bake without issues. Just don't ask me to get creative with it. lol.

I'm not super great at cake decorating, but I'm pretty creative and can do a good job when I try. I think I'll give it a few practice runs over the next couple of months too.

I make all my desserts from scratch and I make a dark chocolate cake that is always a hit, so that's what I'll do for her birthday.
