How many bottles a day is your LO having now? Lucas isn't eating a lot of solids, but he has anywhere from 4-5 6oz bottles a day including in the night if he wakes up. Please tell me I am not the only one giving him this much still!

My LO is almost 15 months and still gets about 4 bottles a day for a total of 18-22 oz. He is a little guy and has a milk intolerance so still on formula, and he refuses to give up the bottle vs sippy ( not pushing it at this point) and still does purees (hates adult food). I wouldnt stress too much, as long as he is growing and you offer solids I think your good.

We just switched to formula about a month and a half ago, but I don't even know how to answer this question. I don't really count her bottles or keep track. Sometimes I'll make her 4 oz and sometimes 6oz. Sometimes she'll chug the whole 6oz and sometimes she'll stop at 2oz and not finish her bottle. I suppose she gets between 20 to 14 oz per day, but I'm not sure. There's a lot of formula that goes to waste here, which is a shame since it's so expensive.

I'm still nursing and supplementing with formula, but I'm starting to transition Leah into a full formula diet before I go back to work. From what I've read a 1 year old should have about 16-24oz of full fat milk per day still. Anymore than that isn't really a problem unless they are not eating enough solids because they are full on milk. That can lead to iron deficiencies etc. I would just make sure that Lucas eats his meals and snacks first and has his bottle afterwards to get him to eat as much as possible when he's most hungry.

because he isn't eating a lot of solids I have started offering it first before a bottle. He has been eating better, but 30 minutes later is crying for a bottle and when I give it to him he acts like he is starving! He will snack on it a lot, take an ounce or two then 15 minutes later come back and have another ounce etc. He just always seems hungry.

Sophie is getting something like 4-6, 4-6oz bottles a day and then 1 or 2 through-out the night still. She doesn't seem to eat a whole lot of food either, so like you, we offer food first w a sippy cup of water or diluted juice but will desperately want a bottle about 30min after too... So we are practically in the same boat Smile

Evan takes about 10 oz at daycare (solids and snacks the rest of the day). At home, he gets maybe another 15-20 oz, depending on the day. Always gets 6 oz at bedtime and 1 or 2 6 oz during the night, which I included in the 15-20 oz. He is taking less now at daycare than he used to, and I can tell the formula is lasting longer now than it was even a month ago.

Chloe is down to 3 bottles a day. I am trying to omit bottles altogether. Like this morning she had cereal with whole milk. She couldn't eat it all so I drained the milk in a sippy and gave it to her. She doesn't seem to care that she hasn't gotten her bottle. her doctor said she needs 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.

We are only doing an a.m. bottle and before bed bottle. I do "sometimes" give her one early evening if I know we're going to have a late dinner to help tide her over.....so 16-24oz a day.
