I mentioned a while back that Lyla does this. She will stick her finger down her throat and gag herself and sometimes make herself throw up. She still does it. It's extremely frustrating and I don't know how to make her stop. It's not as constant as it was, but it's still happens almost daily.

Someone else here mentioned that babies/kids with reflux tend to do this. Lyla does have reflux, but I've been able to cut her Zantac back a lot.

Aiden just started two weeks ago shoving his hand into his mouth to purposely gag himself. DRIVES ME NUTS. He really likes doing it in the car. Great timing since we were on a road trip then and in a week I go on another 15 hour car ride with him, only without DH to help this time. I was thinking he was hungry at first and we were stopped to feed him, only that led to him spitting up. Ugh. If there's a magical cure for this I'd love to know it.

Odin doesn't do this but my 6 year old does. He will make himself vomit and gag when he coughs or doesn't want to eat something. I don't even know how he does it at will but it is gross. I think he has a very sensative gag reflex so it is easier for him to do. He was a big spit-up type of baby/toddler.

Guess Aiden doesn't fit the mold because he was never a big spitter upper as a newborn. I'm just glad that he doesn't do it everyday. Worries me!

I don't have a clue...she doesn't have reflux...My first thought was she does it for attention???? I don't know...But then again, she does it right in front of me sometimes?!
Weird. I am sure it is some weird stage?
