One of my clients is a single mom with 3 boys that recently got divorced. I don't know her that well, and have only really spoken to her briefly when she comes into the bank, which is probably only once or twice a month. I don't remember how old her 2 older boys are, but her youngest is 18 mo now. Well, she came into the store yesterday to do some shopping (remember my bank branch is inside of a grocery store) and stopped by and said she had some clothes and things from her boys that she wanted to get rid of and asked if I wanted them since she knew I had a boy born around the same time of year her LO was. I of course said yes, and she came back with 3 HUGE boxes of clothes, toys, and a few other baby things! OMG, Lucas is set (and more!) until he is 18 months, and she said she would continue to pass her boy clothes onto me once her son outgrows them.
I just can't get over how generous it was of her to even think of me! Like I said, I barely know her. But she said as a single mom, she has to take all the help that she can get, and she knows that I can use the same. It brought me to tears!
Anyways, just wanted to share. I really have the most awesome clients ever!

thats so greatMummy's stick together!!!
Veronica- you really do have some great clients. I love hearing your stories about them. That was so nice! When DD1 was a baby, her dad and I were on again off again so I was basically a single mom from the time she was born and by the time she was one we were off for good. Anyway, my cousin, who is much older than me and I didn't know all that well, started giving me all her baby clothes. They were boutique style clothes, so pretty. I could never have made it without all of her wonderful donations and I could never repay her so I just try to pay it forward and donate as much as I can to others. I'll never forget her kindness.
That is really nice! I love handmedowns! One of my friends cousin that I have hung out with briefly has given me all of her sons clothes probably for the last 2 years now. I honestly havent had to buy one peice of clothing. I mean I have bought a few cute shirts here and there but nothing else. The best part is she kept them in great shape and it is the same style I like.. Even down to swimming trunks!
Now you just have to give it to someone who might need it in the future.. I most likely will be turning around and giving it back to her because she just found out she is pregnant by surprise..

That's awesome! I have found in my own life that some of the kindest acts come from strangers/near strangers. I have received more gifts/donations for Lyla from people I barely know than from family.

That's fantastic! Make sure to give her a HUGE thank you! lol.
3/4ths of Aiden's wardrobe was given to us by the daughter of a lady my mom works for. She found out she's having #2 and #2 is a girl and gave all her boy clothes to us (through 24 month sizes). SO grateful for the clothes because there aren't a lot of options out here at all.
