Responding to you from the last chat thread, Christa!:

Um, yeah, I have like 75,000 pictures of my boxer, mostly from before Adair, of course! He's totally our baby too. Or, he was. But he's still a strong favorite.

Here's one of both dogs. I was 14 weeks pregnant :

Love it Leigh! He's a cutie! I don't know if I have a good picture of mine, he always ends up with his nose only in the picture because he won't stay back far enough for me to take a picture of him.

The wild indians are up. DS1 peed in his bed and this is what Clara is wearing while dancing to the music playing on CMT. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at this point in the week so I'm going with a crazy person laugh!

funny chat thread!

ha ha ha - crazy person laugh is the perfect response!

add more yuck to my day. DH just called (5:00). he's supposed to already be home. guess what, he's stuck in traffic. And the mattress that was supposed to be delivered between 2 and 6 isn't here yet either.

So I'm trying to decide if I'm pregnant and that's why I'm hormonal or if AF is coming and that's why I'm hormonal?! ahhhhhhhh

OMG, I just got back from the screaming-ist most agonizing doctor's appointment ever. It was Rowan's 2 year checkup. She had the best time playing in the waiting room, running around, jumping, laughing. And as soon as the nurse called us back and she saw the hallway leading to the treatment rooms, she started screaming. Not just crying, but screaming. And she kept it up the entire time. Non-stop, except for when she was nursing (though she did manage to scream while nursing too). In the few minutes between when the nurse left the room and the doctor came in she calmed down enough to say "Going? Going! Mama, open the door! Going! Mama, please open the door. Open the door! Going!" and then she dissolved into screaming again. It was awful. Dh is taking her next time.

She has grown and gained weight, but she's dropped from the 5th percentile for weight down into the 2nd. She doesn't look that skinny, she just inherited Dh's absurdly light bones.

Party is tomorrow. Leigh, spoiler alert, there are 5 cakes.

5 cakes!! my goodness Blum 3 sorry she screamed the whole time, that is not fun at all

Christa, i love him!!!

are you guys aware that fb is posting your private messages on your wall? i had heard about this before and checked my profile and didn't see them. turns out you had to scroll down. yep, i see some of them.

oh, and the cat PEED in my shoes today!!!! WTF. DH is done. We have really come to a point where we don't know what to do with him anymore Sad i told DH there are 4 options and i am not really ok with any of them.

1. keep him locked in the basement until he dies
2. give him away
3. put him to sleep
4. just deal with it

this has been going on for two years now on and off. we have literally done everything we can think off besides taking him to the vet but we are almost positive this is a behavioral issue. i just don't know what to do anymore Sad

Again, I would go ape-sh*t: North Carolina Teacher Allegedly Cuts Disabled Student's Hair - Yahoo! News

Christa, the corgi isn't leash trained very well and she's very strong, so when I walk the dogs and have the kids in the double jogger it's super hard trying to keep her from pulling. And we walk past a yard with barking dogs in it (only every other house) she yanks and pulls and does all she can to get over there. A time or two she's nearly pulled the stroller over with the kids in it. My irritation level has been higher than normal lately and I was ready to murder her today.

I'm in love with Noah! Kole regularly makes my ovaries twitch. Unfortunately, DH thinks he's done. Gotta put a toot to bed. BRB

1. DH wants a dog. Thinks Aiden will help out with it. ROFL Yeah, I don't think so. Maybe in 14 years when DH gets out of active duty. I am not a dog person. Heck, I don't like my cat and think he's too much work. He's too needy for a cat. lol

2. Christa, that morning would have me all jumpy too! And Leigh is right about bad days. Hope the weekend goes well and you don't lose your mind!

3. Sara, that sounds like an appt from hell. ((hugs))

Can't wait to see pics from y'all rainbow party!!!

So DH took everything out of the garage. Threw away so much that bulk pick up is needed now. Have a pile of items to sell too! He swept it out. Sprayed for bugs (really needed! ick). And organized everything nice and neat (with my help lol). It's soooo pretty in there. We can actually open our car doors on BOTH sides ALL THE WAY now. And then he decided that he would help me organize the kitchen pantry items and relocate a few things into the garage (appliances we don't use on a regular basis) so that it's neat and I now have space for all the pantry items I'm stocking up on for end up pregnancy and after baby. I seriously think my husband is nesting with me. And I finally got my Mexican food that I wanted last night. Blum 3 Today went so well that I feel like the rest of the weekend is doomed. Ha ha.

other then the peeing, he is a decent cat. never bites or scratches, sits there and lets Lucas beat on him etc. We feel horrible, but we can't have him peeing on everything. what if he pees on our bed or couches next?

it's kinda weird, you have to scroll down and look for the "45 friends posted on your timeline" type posts. they are mixed in with wall postings and are from random times and just pieces of messages. i checked mine because i have had some private things said but none of that was aired on my wall. i just left it there haha. you probably have to go to like 2011 at the earliest to see them so really unless someone is stalking your page they probably wouldn't see them.

Peeing on everything would definitely not fly with me. I'm tired of my cat, but if he peed on stuff even DH would be seeking a better home for him.

Okay, I'm back.

Jackie, that's awesome that your DH is nesting too! I wish I would have got my DH to do that!

Sara, yeah appointment from hell for sure. I had that one when Lyla was 4 months old, and I can only imagine it's worse when they are 2 years old.

So Lyla has recently decided she needs to sleep with bears. And I have to kiss them all (about a 100 times) before I leave her for the night. She's got 4 stuffed animals in there with her now.

Janice, sorry about your oddball cat. When it comes to pets, I'm the opposite of Jackie. I'm so not a cat person. I think they are all evil and out to get people. Dogs love you no matter how crappy you are. I wish I was half as good a person as those dogs think I am.

I got some fluffy mail today! I sold 15 of my 21 Kawaii's at a small loss, but then realized (based on what other people sell more used ones for) that I could have totally made ALL my money back and likely even profited. I was pretty sick about it for a while, especially since the mom I sold them to turned around and sold them as new for double what I sold them to her for, and without inserts! Anyway, it's done and we don't get do-overs in life. I now have a more diverse stash. 6 Kawaii's (which started working better once they got broke in good, only making me more sick about selling them) 6 new Sunbabies that arrived today, 2 Alvas (that I surprisingly love) and then a bunch of prefolds and a few covers. I also have MF inserts, 12 bamboo inserts, that I'm trying out for the first time tonight, and 4 hemp inserts that I've been pretty unimpressed with so far. I also got a GNHW, but haven't tried it out yet. It doesn't look any different than regular Kawaiis. I think my issue is the wicking that comes with the minky feature. I have only had minimal issues with the leaking on the non minky diapers. I'd still like to diversify some more, but I'm loving the convenience of the pockets and find myself going for those first. Anyway, all that to say that I'm sticking with this and liking it. In fact, I'm getting pretty obsessed with it and am constantly perusing B/S/T boards for more fluff.

Yeah those news articles are why I can't watch the news here because I stay troubled by them. This city has one of the highest crime rates in the nation.

Jackie- I have been craving Mexican food a lot too. How is the Mexican food up there?

if we only had him for a year or so it would be easier to get rid of him, but we have had him for 8 years. i feel like if we did get rid of him, who want first of all want an "old" cat, not to mention one that pees everywhere? unless he went to someone we knew it would be really really hard for us to know that he was alright and that someone wasn't hurting him if he continued to pee.

Anna, she'll get her bad karma back for that move one day. Always comes back around eventually!
I'm glad that CDing is going much better for you. Remember hemp is best with another insert on top of it (closer to the baby). It's like extra insurance for more pee. We often do one bamboo and one hemp insert in Aiden's pockets during the day.
I really am LOL that you've become addicted!!! I discovered a wool only swap and omg I just love to look at it all. I don't buy though. Most is waaaaay too expensive for me. lol

Justine, believe it or not I like the Mexican food here better! Probably because unlike Del Rio I can ask a question about what's in the food and the waitress understand me. Oh and the restaurant here has a great health rating where in Del Rio places were constantly closing due to health standards. EWWWWW.

Jackie, I can only imagine! Part of why I really prefer to not eat out is because I know that most people don't have the sanitation standards I do while cooking.

Justine, Really? I didn't know that. I know that places like Chicago and Detroit have high crime, and I would have pegged Houston and Dallas, but SA? Not so much. Our town has one of the lowest crime rates anywhere, but that's because it's stuck in the 1970's!

Yup, Jackie, I got in on a couple of FB groups and I spend way to much time looking at what everyone is selling. I hold out for the really good deals though, and I think most people are asking way too much. Or I guess I should say that they are asking way more than what I'm willing to pay for a used diaper!

I need to clean my house!! I have two showings tomorrow. One at 9am and one at 3:45pm! There's dishes in the sick, toys scattered about and general disarray everywhere!

I agree that most people ask too much for a used diaper! I just traded a few diapers with local mamas. I think both parties think they got the better deal. Lol And no need to worry about shipping! I think some people on the CD swap charge more because of shipping....but they ship poorly, overestimate, or are just dumb.
Hope the showings go well!

Oh good grief, how have you not shot the cat yet?! I get it though, you probably feel about your cats like I do my pooches. I'm not really a cat person, I like them if they just mouse and leave me alone. I hope you get something figured out, don't know what to tell you to do but I'd have been done long before you.

Anna- Leash training dogs is hard. DH had to leash train our Boxer because he was walking all over me everytime I'd take him to the vets office. Now, he's so good that I took both dogs to the vets office while almost full term pregnant with Noah and it was a piece of cake. I need more pictures of Kole! He's getting so BIG, it's just not fair that they have to grow up so fast!

Jackie- wow, your productivity is making me tired. I'm going to go to bed Smile

Leigh- Guess what I got tonight!!! A picture of my poochie!! He was so good and just stood still when I told him to.

Okay. DH is ruining all of his good things from earlier today. It's 2am and he's still playing video games online with buddies. He's so friggin loud that I can't sleep at all. I keep expecting Aiden to wake up. :banghead: If he thinks I'm getting up in 4 hours with Aiden he's sadly mistaken. I've already informed him of this and he doesn't seem to care. Fine then. Stay up. Don't ***** tomorrow. And I'm sleeping in till lunch. Blum 3

thats the next step Christa Blum 3

i guess we should take them both to the vet to rule out anything medical just in case, but DH really will shoot them if we spend all that money and there is nothing wrong with them.

cute dog!!! i like his name, it suits him Smile

Jackie, DH has UFC nights with his brother sometimes and they can get kinda loud. Lucas woke up sometimes when he was younger, but he doesn't anymore.

I am on my phone so I can't deal with responding to everyone I want to but I did read them all and there was a lot of laughing and eye rolling Smile

Christa: what a cutie! Mine is Roscoe! (P. Coltrane--from Dukes of Hazzard, of course) and yes he has the exclamation point in his name. He's a boxer. Shouldn't they all have exclamation points? Lol

(switched to computer for a second): Janice, I'd take the cats to the vet. Even if it IS behavioral, the vets can probably make some recommendations. Two years...possible that they're stressed by the baby? Cats are weird. Sorry you're dealing with that. I really hate one of my dogs sometimes, and I hate HAVING dogs a lot of the time because of the extra work and responsibility on top of everything else, but they're so good with Addy and Roscoe! at least has finally found his way back into my heart, so...I'll deal. I had a cat but he went to retire at my mom's when I was pregnant. I feel really lucky to have had that option, because I would never have gotten rid of him, but he is SO much happier over there, and we have less stress here. Our one trouble dog was not trustworthy alone with him, so when we left the house we had to lock him in the tiny office all day for his own safety. It wasn't fair to anyone.

So last night we went to SIL's and it was fine but we bailed pretty early (like 9:30) because we were so exhausted from yesterday. Addy goes to bed over there and we take her home asleep. She did wake up once around 12:30 or something like that--DH went in and did the SuperNanny thing and he said it worked well. Then she slept until 5:30. Yay! It was my morning to get up with her and DH is still sleeping, so I'm a little jealous but not too bad. I will take 5:30 at this point, and call it good!

Janice I doubt both cats would have a medical problem, however, i could see one having something wrong and the other just stressing and doing it too. My friends cat was doing this and it turned out he had a UTI. When cats do this they are mostly trying to tell you something. Do they do it in front of you? Which cat was doing it first, that is probably the one to take the to vet first.

So the real estate office called yesterday to schedule 2 showings for today. One between 9-9:30a and one at 3:45p. So this morning I took the kids and went grocery shopping. About 9:30am a guy from the R.E. office calls to let me know that the 10:30am showing is cancelled because of the heavy rain. Ummm, okay. Lets see if they got the 3:45 one right.

A note on the rain: We've had a minimum of 6 inches of rain in the last 2 days at my house! Amazing. Lets hope this signals the end of the drought!

Now to get these kids to take a nap so I can clean up a bit more.

For Christa:

With my mommy.

"Driving" I didn't bring enough diapers so he had to use a sposie.

Being cute while watching his sister dance in the rain.

Going for a walk with Lyla and the dogs. The redheaded corgi was trying to get herself murdered by mommy on this walk.

Checking out his handsomeness in the mirror.

I don't think the pictures do justice to his utter and ridiculous cuteness.

Okay, Christa, your turn! I think we need to see more of Noah too. How else are we gonna get all these TTCer's to spontaneously ovulate. Sara, you looking at these fat babies??

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Oh my lord that is one cute baby.

Note on my BFF's peanut...she wasn't gaining weight, and everyone was concerned...turns out she was tongue tied. What is with all the tongue tied babies I've been hearing about lately? Anyway, they clipped her and apparently it was like night and day. She's WAY less fussy, sleeping well, etc. (because, duh, she's not starving anymore) and everyone's mood has done a 180. SO GLAD they figured that out...
