I hate thosae days when Ronin has a bit more energy and needs a bit longer before he's ready for bed, I get so tired because he is extra full on. Worl is all sorted, 4 day weeks start on the 22nd, it would have been the 15th but I had promised to do a job that day and forgot so had to hold off one week. I'm actually looking forward to one of my tasks at work, it's in an area that interests me and is a new challenge. It's also something that doesn't come up often most of the time, though my office is lucky and we get a few our way.

Still a fever over here. Gonna see how it goes without any meds and just hang around the house.

[QUOTE=cactuswren;9000925]omg I wish I had been visibly pregnant on Halloween!

That picture is crazy. I was big on Halloween with Evan. I painted my belly like a baseball player, and went with an open Cardinals jersey (I cut off a tshirt to expose just the belly), ball pants, socks, and cleats. I enjoyed it.

Kristi- love the US pics. She is so sweet looking already. Great 3D shot for sure. And TFS the blog, your belly looks awesome.

Jackie, I hope Aiden feels better.
Leigh, WooHoo for Day 2!!! Whenever I pick Evan up at daycare, he likes to run around and "show" me how he likes to play. Going down the slide again, or whatever he happens to be doing when I pick him up.
Kristi, all of your pics are great. I like the balloon in the box idea.
Wendy, I agree, those extra energy days are tough. It seems like, in our house, they happen on days that mommy and daddy don't have any extra energy at all.

Jackie, sorry you're dealing with a sick kiddo! I hope it's just a little bug and passes quickly.
Stacy, that's adorable. I witness some of the cutest playtime ever when I'm picking Addy up, especially if I just hang around for a while like I did yesterday. However no matter how gently I try to ease her out the door or how quickly I rip off the bandaid, she FREAKS OUT every time we have to leave. Working on it...!? Oh well, at least she calms down by the time we're driving out of the parking lot and we usually have a nice afternoon. Kinda spoils how excited and happy I am to see her when I get there, though...!
So my BFF who had her baby on the 20th (so, 3 weeks now) is having issues with her kiddo. It's a long story but basically she's still not gaining weight--she finally got back to her birth weight with an EXHAUSTING feeding schedule and a bit of supplementation, but now she's only gained one more ounce since that last good check. No tongue tie. The doc has my friend on total pump/bottle feeding for the next few days so they can get a clear read on her intake and see if that tells them anything. She IS crying less and sleeping more than she had been, which is good, but I know they're all still exhausted and worried. I feel bad that I don't have any real advice to share since Addy nursed and gained like a textbook champ, so if anybody has any words of wisdom to share on newborn feeding/gaining issues, I'd love to hear them.
Oh! We had a great night/morning I wanted to share: Addy slept through until 4:30, when she cried out and rustled around for a minute, but then it was quiet so I fell back asleep and the next thing I knew I was waking up to a delighted little voice over the monitor saying "My green light!" and I looked at the clock and it was 5:30! (The light goes on at 5:15) IT'S WORKING! (Never mind that the wonderful wakeup was spoiled by her discovering she couldn't open her door and then having a total meltdown that lasted at least ten minutes. You can't have everything.)

No words of wisdom for your BFF. :( I just keep finding the normal suggestions that I'm sure she's already heard or doing (nurse in, kangaroo care, pumping after a nursing session, etc). No new mom needs this stress on top of everything else.
Take the sleep successes where you can!!! :)
Stupid stupid fever. Ugh. His night diaper was dry and so far no wet diapers today. But he drank just fine last night and today he's had cereal and milk, another sippy of milk, and half a sippy of water with a tiny bit of lemonade for flavor. *sigh*
