That reminds me of one time when my grandpa took a big swig of black olive juice that was in a glass on the counter, thinking it was coke. Now THAT was a surprise!

I once ordered Aiden white milk and they brought chocolate milk. Yeah, definitely not starting the chocolate milk anytime soon with him! I check drinks for times like that since often they're put in those little straw cups with a top. If I'm not careful (I've learned to time my bathroom trips better lol) DH will order Aiden sprite to drink. Aiden LOVES sweet tea and most soft drinks. I'm good about not drinking them when Aiden is around, not that I drink them hardly due to pregnancy. But DH? Yeah, not so careful or watchful of his drinks. Aiden has gotten a couple of "special" sips too over the past year.
Wendy, I'd keep up that charade if I were you! Hope you enjoyed your walk!
Oh! Aiden likes to steal people's drinks at restaurants big time. My FIL took Aiden to eat Mexican while I was attending a wedding this past summer and apparently he didn't realize the full extent of the toddler reach till Aiden stole his sweet tea. Then Aiden threw a huge fit when my FIL took it away. Lesson learned. ;) He's stolen drinks if we're at a small table a few times.
It will be a long time before he gets coke, we don't drink it.
The walk was good, leaving Ronin with hubby was a failure. got home and by that time Ronin had been awake for an hour and a half because he woke up just before I left. The house was quiet, couldn't find them anywhere, walked into the bedroom and hubby was still in bed with Ronin sitting with him. He had gotten up and taken him to the toilet at some stage, but Ronin jumped off the bed and came to me and said 'Mummy poo' then took me to where he had an accident on the floor which hubby hadn't cleaned up and probably wasn't even aware of. I just gave Ronin breakfast now and hubby is still in bed so I guess I won't be leaving him home with him again and either Ronin comes walking like he usually does, or I stop walking because he hates being in the pram that long and gets ansty and wants to hop out and run and play.
I'd still leave Ronin with him again personally. Ronin was safe. I'd hand him the towels and cleaner next time and call it a husband lesson. ;) Maybe dump some water on hubby's head to make sure he's awake? Ha. I'm mean.
I would too. DH doesn't get to get out of being a parent just because he's lazy! I know it's hard to see someone not do it like you would, but he'll never learn if you don't give him the chance to. Unless it's unsafe, I say go for it.
So Addy had a PERFECT day at school, but pooped on the ride home for me to get to deal with. Boy, she really loves her parents today.
Oh my! She was too kind to her teacher.
Aiden is down to 99! Woo. Hopefully whatever the world that he's been dealing with is gone.
Well that's great to hear! I saw his lego tower on FB...impressive! :D
Back from the wedding (until 10 when our sitter is coming for a bit). Simon was really well behaved! The ceremoney was luckily short, but Simon needs to learn to whisper when it matters! He does know how to and does it sometimes for fun and says "shhhh" but doesnt really understand WHEN he needs to do it.
But he was awesoem during the dinner. He sat between me and DH and picked at food and just played with his cheerios, smiled and waved at people. Didnt try to get up once. Clapped when everyone else clapped, actually got reallly excited aobu it! LOL! He was sooooooooooo good!!!!
I was impressed because usually it falls before it gets that tall! He tried to duplicate it with wood blocks, but didn't have as much success. Kid also did puzzles for 20 minutes. It was so wonderful having a child feel well and not going nutso.
Mona, that is GREAT! YAY for a well behaved toddler.
