The "Get in MY belly .. baby" Chat Thread (#29)

DD1 wants to be a unicorn for halloween. Apparently this a costume that only infants and adults wear, because these are the only sizes I can find. So I'm going to make it.

Am I a bad mom if I MAKE DD1 a costume, and DD2 just wears one of DD1's old costumes? I was going to make or buy a costume for Lainey, but a couple weeks ago she found a dog costume that DD1 wore a couple years ago. We put it on her and showed her what she looked like in the mirror, and she just LOVED it. She was so happy wearing it and kept it on most of the day, pretending to be a doggie. Since she doesn't care what she is for halloween, I'm thinking she'll just re-wear DD1's old costume.

Yeah, I'm guessing when my parents are in town (as of right now they're both coming in for one week of DH being gone) I'll have to have my dad watch Aiden and go out with my mom to find a dress. It's a very formal event, but something tells me that I can get away with most things as long as it's a dress. It's Dec 14th and with this baby being able to arrive pretty much anytime from Halloween through Nov 28th who knows what kind of condition I'll be in!

Trust me, it will not be amazing! She wanted to be a horse a few years ago, and I am just going to use the same idea I used for that (hint: involves sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt) plus a horn. And hooves. Because apparently the hooves are the most important part to her.

Probably still better than what I'd do. And so funny about the hooves!

When she told me what she wanted to be, she said, "But will it have hooves? I need hooves." And every time she talks about it, she asks about the hooves. 5 year olds are interesting.

Sooooo tired.....I'm off to bed. I think I'm going to start hypnobabies soon. This pregnancy is going too quickly. I am already starting to have the thoughts about, "How can this be the last time I'll feel my baby kick inside me? Last time I hold my own newborn? Last baby I breastfeed?" DH had better schedule his vasectomy pretty quickly.

I've been on the maintenance part for so long that I'm wondering if I should just start the 5 weeks again. :lol:
