I used Kotex, Jackie. I liked them just fine. I still have some hospital ones if you want them. The big diapers and the thick pads.![]()
Sorry your mom is being a PITA. My SIL called me last night, drunk, and now we are having her daughters 12th birthday party along with Lyla's on Saturday. I really thought that since my niece is 12 that SIL would plan her party separately with her friends invited. I sure hope that she's not planning on bringing a bunch of preteen kids here. I did stress several times that I am only interested in family coming. If your mom wants to stay at your house, then she can sleep on the couch or an air mattress.![]()
Christa, I LOL at the fact that Walmart was closed and it's not Christmas day. Could be a sign of the apocalypse.
Erin posted some pics of Rainbow Extravaganza on FB. Looks like huge, fun party. DH bought Lyla a guitar. He just opened it this morning finally to tune it and check it. It's pink! I figured he'd buy something gender neutral so Kole could use it later on. AND it's not even a small, kid guitar, it's nearly full sized! As big as she is! This'll be interesting. DH is pretty serious about guitar.
I'm sitting here, getting high on primer waiting for it to dry so I can paint over it. We got nearly 7 inches of rain over the weekend and discovered a leak in our roof. DH is up there fixing it right now and I'm covering the stain it created on the ceiling. It's not major at all, just a tiny leak, but it stained a spot on the ceiling and it looks ugly. As a result of this we had to reject a showing today. The kids are supposed to be napping, but Lyla is playing in her room. I'd let her out but I don't want her breathing this stuff.
Oh yuck, Anna. I'm terrified of roof leaks. Ours badly needs to be recoated and we keep forgetting to deal with it (I mean, out of sight out of mind, right?) I am REALLY hoping that we manage to suck it up and get around to fixing it BEFORE a leak forces us to. Now that we're out of yet another monsoon season, it should buy us some time, but we'll see.
Rainbow Extravaganza WAS both huge and fun. I can't believe what slackers those two are being about posting on here about it. NO REST FOR THE WEARY, PEOPLE.
Enjoy as much of your primer high as you can.![]()
Wooo primer fumes. Going straight for the good stuff huh Anna?
Thinking back, I think I used the always with wings, the overnight jumbo big ones. Like Gma use to wear hahaha.
Anna, I told her we have a perfectly fine air mattress from camping that we can set up in Zoe's room (not like she'll be sleeping in there).Maybe she'll get over herself. Maybe not. No matter what I'm not going to assume anything about her and helping me. Easier this way.
I'm not surprised he had to get a full sized girly guitar. After all a kid sized guitar just won't be good enough for his standards.Hope the party goes well, though I find it odd like you that the 12 year old party will be with the 2 year old party.
That sucks about the roof. Not the best timing, but I'm glad that y'all are able to easily fix it yourselves.
My nesting led me to completely reorganize and clean out the cabinets in the master bath during Aiden's nap. Now the kids will have a cabinet to themselves just for their stuff. Ha. I did find some leftover disposable pads from forever ago though. I bet after using up those I can switch over to using premie prefolds and mama cloth and just wash them with the diapers. And there's always the BX 2 miles from me if need be. Guess I'll stop being paranoid.
Yeah, that 12yo/2yo party is exactly the kind of weird and annoying thing my crazy SIL would do. I feel bad for her kids.
Glad you found some pads, Jackie! One thing off the list.![]()
