Simon is also awesome in his crib. Doesnt try to climb out, talks himself to sleep. Will play for up to an hour in there by himself in the morning when he gets up too early. I'm also keeping him in it as long as possible!!!
We converted Lainey's bed from a crib to a toddler bed when she was, like, 22 or 23 months old? She would wake up crying in the middle of the night every night and scream for us to come get her, so we decided to take the side off and see what happens. She still wakes every night in the middle of the night, but instead of screaming/crying she just comes in our room and crawls in with us.
I had a good appointment today! Everything was perfect. I mentioned the itching, but since it's been getting better over the past 5 days or so, we're just keeping an eye on it for now. My BP was better than perfect - 117/72, so I'd say the calcium/magnesium is working! Baby's heartrate was in the 160's.
Finally got the kid into bed and asleep. And as soon as I sit on the couch to reply I hear the garage door opening up from DH getting home. Figures! It was a very, very long late afternoon and evening over here. Kid was spastic. I hurt because this girl is so low and I'm feeling tons of low pressure off to one side (aka, where her head is because she's not centered right now)!!!
Yay for a great appt, Kristi!! I'm glad the itching is getting better.
I'm sorry you're hurting, Jackie. Towards the end of T's pregnancy I was in love with my rice sock. I'd pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and I'd have 20 minutes or so of heaven. Sounds like you need a rice sock.
I made an appt at the dentist tomorrow. This sucks. Now I have to walk around with half a veneer stuck to my tooth for a few days. If it had just popped off then she could just cement it back on but it cracked in half and half is still stuck to my existing tooth. That means I'll have to wait for her to get a new one made. Oh, and I don't have dental insurance anymore. Not that the insurance I had before paid for my veneer (its "cosmetic") but still. BALLS.
It is possible to contract pre-conception nesting? I stayed home today because I had no reason to go up to school and so I just kept Teagan home too so that I wouldn't have to drive across town twice. I decided that today would be the day I refinish our dresser. We have a three piece set that we bought like 5-6 years ago with the intention of refinishing them. I did the two smaller pieces before I got pregnant with T and the final large piece has just been sitting in our bedroom glaring at me for like 3 years. Teagan played outside happily while I attacked it with the power sander. I've got almost all the body done. Now the drawers are strewn about my bedroom. Hopefully the annoyance of the drawers will be enough to force me to finish it this weekend. Time will tell. While I was at it, I went through all of our clothes and picked out things to throw away or give to good will. Yeah, I don't know what's gotten into me. Perhaps the impending threat of another 3 years of not being able to get anything done? Speaking of TTC, I brought it up again and there might be hope for TTC next cycle. Maybe.
Teagan has a weird rash. It started on her butt cheeks and its now on her legs and arm. Its raised and itchy. I've put Aquaphor on it but it keeps coming back. The doc said it doesn't look like yeast when I showed it to him at her 2 year checkup. I guess I'll have him look at it again when I bring her in for her flu shot. Its just weird that she busts out this rash now that she's in panties all day. I haven't changed detergents or anything.
It's spreading? Oh no! It really didn't look like yeast to me either (and we dealt with a lot of yeast with all those ear infections and antibiotics...) Hmmm.
Really crappy about your tooth!! Awesome about the dresser though. I get crazy like that every now and then. Today I finished cutting and installing all the baseboards in the office so I can putty and stain them during nap on potty training boot camp days and then RECLAIM MY HOUSE. Excited might be an understatement.
