Erin, it was VERY exciting for us to get grown up bedroom furniture this past spring (love discount as is places! lol). DH has stopped using the now 19 year old Walmart $30 dresser. lol. Now if only I could keep him from junking his half up. Gonna share pics of your progress?
I didn't take a before picture. Dang. Oh well. I'll take an after picture and you can just use your imagination. Maybe I have a before picture somewhere .... I have had this dresser for like 6 years.
Ooh, yay! Grown up bedroom ahoy! We have a basic metal Harvard frame that keeps the bed off the floor but no headboard or anything. Our dressers are both antiques but don't match. They used to, but now the huge one I was using is our tv stand because it holds all the games and DVDs and stuff, and was way too big in the bedroom. Our bedroom is my least favorite room in the house. Someday I'll do something about it. I think kings on the floor are just SMART for families with littles, though.
We have been doing partial naked bottom/partial bloomer days, but she has a lot more accidents in bloomers so she's mostly naked because right now what we REALLY need is more success. Earlier she peed in the potty but forgot to pull her bloomers down first. Whoops. Too bad I can't just send her to daycare commando in a dress but it doesn't seem very sanitary.
That's weird and annoying that T's rash is still not better. Glad she seems to be feeling okay and it's not getting WORSE at least.
LOL about Aiden already spraying down your bathroom. I'm sure it was less amusing in practice, but from where I'm sitting...hee hee!
So after spending the evening with her 3 and 5 year old girl cousins, she was dancing around the living room a little while ago with a blanket wrapped around her, saying "I'm a princess! I'm a princess! I need a star wand!" It was too cute so I gave in despite myself and pulled out one of my old dresses and made her a star wand out of paper and a chopstick. It's all over, folks.
My daughter is delirious. I tried to put her down for the night, but she lost her mind and was screaming at the top of her lungs so I gave in since Kole is asleep and I wanted to keep it that way. I am beyond beat though and really wanted to pick up my trashed house a little before I went to sleep. I hate waking up to a filthy trashed house.
Leigh, she's so cute. It was funny today. My sister's girls are both ALL princess and sparkle from the day they were born. They refuse to wear pants and only wear skirts, and the routinely wear princess costumes as an outfit for the day. They were in Lyla's room playing house, and tea party with all of her stuffed animals. Lyla was outside getting dirty in her sandbox. However, she did stand there smiling in the mirror, with a towel draped over her head after her bath saying "I do" in the mirror over and over again. . . Love the dress!
Jackie, did you get one with a missing part or something? Maybe y'all have a different setup on the toilet, though I don't know how. Oh well, at least it's installed and Aiden has something new to make a mess with.
Erin, I posted in the other thread, but is there something at the daycare that could be causing it? Something outdoors? I know it's possible for allergies to develop where there weren't any previously, so maybe that's it. . . I hope it either goes away or you figure out what's causing it and then cause it to go away.
I got Lyla in bed! And this time she went willingly. . . taking her balloons with her. She insisted on going to bed with 2 of her balloons. I finally convinced her that they should sleep in the closet and not in the bed with her. Sounds like Kole is waking up though. Ugh. I need some mommy time!!
