Honestly I'd probably stick to your routine of getting him there and taking the time for yourself/get things done. And then pick him up early. Or other days drop him off late. You might really appreciate having that time toddler free! You're still going to have to pay for that day of daycare anyways right?
That dresser looks totally different, awesome job.
(hugs) Anna. Glad to hear Lyla's appt went well though.
Wendy- I totally agree with Jackie. Keep him in the routine he's use to. Use that day to get things done around the house, have some Mommy alone time. It's amazing what it can do for your soul.
Wendy, I think you could just play it by ear each week. So if one week you have a lot to get done, take him to daycare and get stuff done. Then if the next week you don't have too much to do and there is something you want to do with Ronin, the keep him home and do whatever with him. Not on any kind of set schedule either way.
So Kole was WIDE awake and jabbering on at 6:30am, after waking up at 1:30 and 5:20 to nurse (not bad, I know) but I was so very sleepy still. He was super cute though which garnered him lots of smooches and snuggles. and then around 7 I got him back to sleep only to have Lyla wake up crying borderline hysterically at 7:30. Since she had shots yesterday, I was worried she wasn't feeling well. She's herself again after some cuddles though. I may need a third cup of coffee though.
I got a text last night at 6:30p from our realtor here asking if someone could come see the house at 7pm. Ummmm, I have 2 SMALL kids! NO!
I agree with everyone else on the daycare question, Wendy. Keep him in and take the time to yourself, but if you have something fun you want to do with him you can enjoy an extra day with him on a case by case basis. We kept Addy in school all summer even though DH was home (although he kept her on Mondays to give my mom a break)--she loves playing with her friends anyway and he was able to get a lot done. Don't feel guilty about taking time to yourself to be toddler free...it'll make you a better, happier mommy and everyone wins
Wish us luck, ladies. It's our final PT test...SCHOOL. I am so nervous.
What a day for Lyla & mama yesterday! What's that realtor thinking asking to pop by at 7pm? That's not acceptable even for people without kids.
I hope Lainey kicks this quickly, Kristi!
Go Addy Go! I fully expect her to shine today.
OMG, Teagan was in rare form the second half of yesterday. She was a clingy whiny mess. At least she went down really easily. I needed that wine I drank last night. DH broke his wine glass (that he'd just filled) and then went to refill it and I shot him a death look.
Back to work today. I really need to ride up. I'm feeling fat and lazy again.
