Don't feel bad. Sometimes I think I'm on the overly paranoid side.
Hmmm....beans, I have not thought about that. I guess it's since we have never had an issue with spicy beans. I'll have to look out for it now.
Yeah once we were in a restaurant with very limited choices that were appropriate for a toddler, so we ordered beans, not thinking anything of it. We didn't ask or anything, but the waitress SAW that we were ordering them for a baby and said nothing. They came, she took one bite, and started screaming her poor little head off. We tried them and holy #$&^!!! We both eat spicy food and have a really high tolerance so sometimes it's hard for us to tell whether something is OK for her, but these were SPICY even to us! Why would you serve those to a baby?!
Now we always both ask AND double check. A lot of waitresses are young and don't know the first thing about kids, and everyone's definition of "spicy" is different anyway.
Wow, if it was spicy to you, who likes spicy food, then she should have known to warn you.
I never check Ronin's drinks eithger, but he only gets water which I am usually drinking as well (because if I have something different he will want it) from the same bottle.
I am off walking this morning and hubby said he would look after Ronin. This could be interesting, hubby is not a morning person and Ronin is usually up and crazy by 7
Well good for you, Wendy! Enjoy it!
Addy knows she can't have grown up drinks like wine, beer, or coffee, and won't like them anyway. So now on the rare occasions I have something like soda I can just tell her it's not for kids and she accepts that. BWAHAHA.
Enjoy your walk, Wendy!!
Evan will sometimes want a sip of coke. I don't usually give him any. DH will give a sip, and that is usually all it takes. He just leaves his mouth open and lets it fall out like it is killing him. Alcohol, he just gets a "this is not for Evan" and that's it.
So long as it doesn't rain it will be good. I'll have to skip the coffee at the end though because I will need to get home and relieve hubby. He will have had Ronin for about an hour and a half at that stage, probably a good portion of that with him asleep. Is it cruel of me to want to 'accidently' wake him as I leave so hubby has to deal with him awake and get a small taste of what I deal with
One of the girls at Ronin's day care had to have prune juice but wouldn't drink so her parents started telling her it was coke. One day Ronin started asking for 'coke' at lunch and stealing her prune juice, so I guess he thinks coke is prune juice
No Wendy, I don't think it's cruel at all after what you deal with. Ronin will be surprised when he really gets coke one day.![]()
