Leigh, that is too funny!! Congratulations on your big girl. It sounds like things are really going great.
Janice, great dress. Very pretty. Your fall fb pictures were so cute.
Jackie, that's awesome that Aiden woke daddy up for a diaper change! DH leaves this week to go hunting for a few days, I'm wondering how Evan will do. He is still all about Daddy.
Anna, that cloth diaper is too cute.
Wendy, I'm like you, I think I would swim in the middle too. It would make me nervous to swim around the nets.
I'm sure it has to be!!! I feel so bad for my DH, taking all that rejection all the time and still hanging right in there Although to be fair, I don't get much in the way of snuggles, either. She's much too busy.
Yeah, I'm noticing the too busy thing. I think yesterday was just an extra bad "daddy day." We went to the pumpkin patch. The kid did not want to do anything unless he was with daddy. I tried to do pictures, and he screamed for daddy. Hayride, daddy. So DH is in all of the pics and I didn't get one single one of Evan. Oh well, we decorate a little for Halloween, so I will set him with the pumpkins and straw bales at the house and get some cute pictures. Honestly, I would rather him be like this with DH (and I think he is because Jeff is a great father, constantly playing with him and just being with him) than to have him not like to be around DH because he never wants to have anything to do with Evan.
Aw, sad Jackie! Cute that he was so into Daddy, though (and SCORE on the poopy diaper, hahaha!)
OMG you guys...when I stop to think that just two weeks ago we were being awoken by a screaming banshee every morning at 4:00-something and more or less fully in diapers, and now mornings like this one--where she completely STTN until 5:30 and came right in for a snuggle without any crying (except when she had to run the dog gauntlet inside our room, and said "AAAAH!!! Rosie's tail hit my chest and my hair! THAT'S NOT NICE!!!!" ) with a DRY DIAPER--are becoming nearly a norm...I'm pretty proud of all of us. It's been quite a couple of weeks, but...IT'S WORKING!!!!! I know the road will have plenty more bumps in it, but we're getting somewhere! For real! My baby is more girl than toddler every day...
One funny thing I noticed she's started doing since yesterday is breaking down tasks (like we and her teachers do to her, haha). So instead of "More water, please!" it's "Mommy, get off that big white toilet, go into the kitchen, and get me more water." So helpful!
Lainey: "I want a snack!"
Me: "Are you hungry for breakfast?"
Me: "Let's go get you some food to put in your belly."
Me: "I thought you were hungry?"
Lainey: "I want to put food in my MOUTH."
