Isn't potty training just the best thing ever?
Always.
Oh, Zoe. Troublemaker already! Glad at least you know she's still super mobile in there! At that stage, we were spending a lot of time in the pool, and DH liked to go underwater to the bottom of my belly and sing to encourage her
I am having a TODDLER FOR SALE kind of morning. She was such a humongous, over-the-top brat last night, I'm having a hard time shaking my irritation about it. I know it's not helpful to be angry over a toddler being a toddler, but MAN...
I hate those days Leigh. Last night was gym night which wears her out really early. And it was of course the "I'm super tired but I'm going to scream about every little thing and fight sleep" Cup- no cup, blankie-no blankie. Wore.me.out.
Hope your day gets way better!!!
Oh Anna, I totally missed that Lyla peed her panties. Gosh I can't wait for Pting....
I hate times like those!
After a couple of inversions this morning I think she's transverse. Hoping to get her head down for tomorrow's appt where the MW can feel she's down so I can skip the u/s they want if baby isn't clearly head down!
Aiden's newest addiction? It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!![]()
The show!
My mom bought him the book and shipped it to us over a week ago and we still haven't gotten it....beginning to think it's lost!![]()
Bummer Jackie. I haven't showed Madison the show or movie yet. But she's crazy about "Punkies"
Ooh, can't believe I didn't think of that! Adair's back on to being a Kipper junkie, after her month or so love affair with that LeapFrog phonics/numbers show. She literally wants to watch nothing else. Oh well...at least it's quiet and gentle, and not at all annoying from the other room.
I bet she would really like Peanuts, though! She's also very into the idea of Halloween. Thanks!
Yeah, the two big issues last night were the fact that we wanted to watch the debate (i.e. have our attention partially diverted by something that wasn't interesting to her, even though we were playing legos with her the whole time. THE HORROR.) and the fact that I tried to institute no sippy in bed (hoping it would help her have a stay dry and sleep late night, rather than a blow out your diaper with pee and wake up soaking at 4:00 night. Imagine.) She actually went down okay, but woke up at 11:00 (after we'd been in bed asleep for an hour) and threw the biggest, most horrific tantrum we've ever had in the middle of the night (that I can remember). I did not handle it well. Between the two of us it took us 45 minutes to get her back down, and yes around 30 minutes in I gave up and gave her back the damn sippy. Not graciously. It was a bad night. I'm still mad, even though I know it's irrational. Ugh.
Jackie, hope you don't have to get that u/s! Come on, Zoe.
I have to say as long as it takes to get Aiden to bed he does at least sleep very well once asleep! Having to deal with an angry toddler after everyone has already been asleep would make me a grouch too!
Funny enough I'm sure most people think I'm nuts for not wanting that u/s! But there's no point to it and I'm going to see her soon enough one way or another. This girl is clearly not out of room at all and can easily flip around as she wishes still. Aiden at this point? No way no how! lol.
So we had our first poop in the potty success this morning!!! We were undressed to hop in the shower and he started grabbing his butt. I put him on the potty. He whined (cause he was scared). But after he pooped I did a dance and clapped and he got all excited and let me wipe him and then he flush........and then he walked over to the bathroom rug and peed on it. Whatever. I'll take what I can get.![]()
