Ah, the roller coaster of joys that is PTing...YAY for poop in the potty, though! That's a huge step!
The inspector showed up this morning, right at 8:30. Very punctual. He couldn't tell me anything he found unless it was a hazard to us, which a I knew anyway. I thought I'd just stay here while he was here, but Lyla would not stay away from the poor man and with Kole around I couldn't keep my attention 100% focused on her. She was so dang determined to hang out with the inspector I had to load up the kids and leave the house before I blew a gasket.
Before the leaving though, I caught Lyla all bent over with her butt in the air and her head between her legs watching her panties fill up as she pooped in them. W.T.F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am at my wits end with that crap (pun intended). I tried so hard to get her to pee in the potty before we left, but no, she waited till we got in the car and peed in her carseat.
Anyway, I'll go back through and read later. I have to go get a car seat out of the car. Just had to get out some of my frustrations.
Sorry, but LOL at Lyla watching her poop!! I know that must suck though.
Today Simon pooped on the potty! Well he was fully clothed, and sitting backwards, with the insert out....LOL! But I was organizing baby clothes upstairs and he pulled it out of his closet (the potty) by himself, sat on it then pooped. And I have not put any effort into pting what so ever. I bought the potty a few months ago and he was deathly afraid of it. Maybe he's ready now?!
Anna, what you just described could easily be Adair (both the inspector obsession and the pooping). I feel your pain, sister. She's not actually watching her panties fill up (what a mental image!) but unless she's naked she seems determined to poop in her panties. Then she says "Accident....I try again?"Uh, nice sentiment, but....how about ACTUALLY TRYING in the first place, maybe? Sigh.
Hope the inspection went well!
Jackie- I would have much rather cleaned up the pee than the poop though, so YAY Aiden!
Oh Lyla! WTF is right girl. I hope the inspection passes with flying colors.
Hubby and I have a "date" night tonight. Play, dinner and the LO is staying all night with my parents. Too bad I have to work tomorrow or I'd sleep in.
Anna, ((hugs)) about Lyla! Have you put her back in diapers at all? At this point I really would until you've moved because selling a house and moving is STRESSFUL on everyone. You can still work on PTing with diapers being on - you just have that backup for days like today. I have no doubt Aiden would have taken off with PTing tons more had I been able to do more last winter when we started having dry naps and him peeing in the potty when he got up. Moving squashed that completely. Now pregnancy has squashed it yet again. I seriously struggle to remember to feed us meals in a timely manner (we didn't eat till 1pm today cause I was that oblivious as to why Aiden was cranky!), let alone reminding Aiden to use the potty.
Mona, that is a GREAT sign to me!!! No harm is trying it out.
Molly, enjoy your date night!!!
The last time DH and I went out alone was to see The Hunger Games last spring. An actual real date that involves eating?! Ummm....I don't remember!! Oh wait! It was last February when we were driving from TX to NC. We got dinner one night and went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond afterwards.
Got my parents box in this afternoon! My dad totally put the wrong zip code on it. His excuse? "I'm lucky to remember what state you live in."![]()
I agree--that's a good point, Jackie. I would have put her back in diapers a long time ago, though. Your patience with this is saintly, for reals. I wouldn't feel even remotely bad about a bit of a reset during the move, though!
DH keeps asking for a date night but I hate arranging childcare so much I keep kinda dragging my feet about it. Not that I wouldn't love to go out, but it rarely seems worth the hassle and expense. GOD, I'm getting old and boring!![]()
