Had my Ultrasound today... and.....

The baby is weighing 11oz approx. The heartbeat was 148, and everything looked good. It drove me crazy knowing I was "that close" from finding out the sex, but they don't tell you over here. They don't even show you between the legs at all. It is very different for sure. According to the ultrasound my due date showed up Feb. 16th instead of the 19th?? The baby would not go into position for the lady that did my ultrasound, so therefore I need to have another one on Oct. 4th so that they can check the position of the spine. Oh and of course just like I figured my placenta is anterior which totally sucks.. the baby was moving around like crazy, and I could see that he/she was kicking me, but I couldn't feel it

That stinks that you have an anterior placenta. I have a friend due Nov 1st with one. She can feel her girl easily now, but I know she felt like it took forever to get to this point!
Just think of the wonderful surprise you'll have once the baby is born! Smile
Glad to hear everything is checking out well so far! Can't believe your this far along already.

Yay for an u/s! I'm glad baby looks good. Are you sticking with the Feb 19th EDD? Dating is really not accurate this late in the game. Don't sweat a few days difference. My DD measured 2 weeks ahead at my 20 week u/s and so did all my belly measurements. Bummer about the placenta being anterior. As far as I'm aware, the only issue is that it'll take longer to feel the baby, right?

Yay for getting to see your LO! Sounds like everything looks good in there. Bummer about the position of the placenta and not being able to feel movement because of it. Maybe at your next u/s you can bribe the tech with baked goods so they will show you the gender.

I'm glad to hear you had a good appointment! That sucks that you have an anterior placenta though. It makes me wonder where mine is this time.

Rebekah I had anterior placenta with Natalie.. Yep its sucked. I could feel her but not a ton like my other pregnancies. I think the reason why I was so worried all the time was because I didnt feel a ton of movement.

But yay for getting other u/s. Do they let you look and give you pictures?

Glad everything looks good! I believe I had anterior placenta with my dd, it took forever to feel movement, probably didn't help that since it was my first, I didn't know what it would feel like.

How exciting!! I always loved seeing my LOs on the u/s, definitely my fav part! Why won't they let you find out what you're having? Or at least let you look for yourself and come to your own conclusion?
