Lainey and Teagan!!!
It doesn't seem possible, but 2 years have gone by. I nearly cried reading Erin and Kristi's FB posts.
Happy birthday pretty lil ladies! Hope u all enjoy your day
I know! All the birthdays are going to be rolling in now. *sniff sniff*
Happy birthday girls!
I was handling it so well but now I'm tearing up! My baby is getting so big! Claire called her a baby about a week ago and she said, "No, I'm a toddler!" *Sniff, sniff*
Oh, and last night she asked to nurse for the first time in about 3 weeks. I doubt there's really anything left, but I let her try. So I'm totally counting it as 24 months BF.
And happy birthday, Teagan!

Teagan says Thank You!!! Happy Birthday to Lainey!
I totally teared up as I was writing my FB post this morning. I've been reminiscing about her birth a lot today, which is making me super eager to get the show on the road and do it all over again!
This morning, I asked Teagan what she wanted for her birthday breakfast and she said, "CAKE!" Clearly, she's been talking to Adair.
We had her 2 year check up (because mama is mean like that). She was quite the handful. She freaked out when the nurse attempted to measure her height (34 inches, up 2 from 18 months ... seems a little high to me). She was then so traumatized by that that we couldn't get a weight for her. I even had the nurse leave the room so I could try myself. No go. I made a guess and the nurse just took my word for it (26ish lbs, up 2 from 18 months). Then the doctor (Jr., Leigh ) came in and chatted with me. Every time I go in to see them I'm reminded why I love this office so much. He just asked me basic questions. What's she eating? How are her fine motor skills? What does she like to do at home? From my answers, he ascertained that she's a perfectly normal 2 year old. He told me now is a good time to think about potty training. Ha! I pointed to her bottom and said she's been daytime diaper free for 2 weeks now. He was quite impressed No shots today! We're all good until she's 4 aside from annual flu. I decided to skip the flu today because I didn't want to risk her really crappy for her party and she was already so terrified. We'll relive the terror next Monday.
When I dropped her off at daycare after her appointment, all the kids were sitting down for snack and gave her a big birthday welcome. Adair announced, "It's Teagan's birthday!! Cake?" They'll be getting chocolate cupcakes for afternoon snack. Now its time to whip up her birthday dinner and spend the day praying that her gift arrives in time. I'm making Butternut Squash Soup & Irish soda bread. I *think* she'll eat it. I *hope* she'll eat it. If not there are always the Cold Stone cupcakes in the freezer waiting for her.
EEEEEEpppp! I have a two year old!!!
