EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeppp! We have 18 month olds! How the heck has this happened?
Does anyone actually celebrate half birthdays? We're not going to get into the habit of it or anything but since it coincides with the near completion of our patio we're going to get her a little tricycle. I'll be sure to posts pics of the cuteness.
We're still BFing too! 18 months was sort of my goal but we're going to keep going until Teagan decides she's done. I'll post a proper update after her appointment tomorrow morning.
T's 18 month appt was this morning. She FREAKED out when the nurse tried to take her temperature (under her arm) and was a screaming mess for most of the rest of the appointment. I don't know what all that was about. The doc joked that she was advanced because she was already tantruming like a 2 year old. LOL. Anyway, she's 25 lbs and 32 inches. I can't remember what her 15 month stats were but she's bigger, haha. She got just one shot today and actually took that better than getting her temperature taken. Her doc is happy with her development in every way. I asked him about talking and he said that he doesn't even care how many words they're saying (at all) at 18 months. Its much more important that they're listening, can understand basic commands, and are interacting with people. He mentioned that there is a correlation between early talkers excelling later in language and the arts while later talkers later excel in engineering and math. Makes perfect sense to me! He's also happy that I'm giving her a multi-vitamin since we're vegetarian and she's such a picky eater. I've just started giving her the chewable kind. SO much tastier than those crappy drops.
And here's a shot of the half birthday girl taking a jaunt around the neighborhood a few days ago.
