Yeah...it's not going to die on its own from lack of reinforcement, because all the kids moved up to the toddler room together (Official Welcome to Peelim today, btw, Teagan and Mick!) and they all still do it (the cute version). Although maybe it turned sour because the others moved up and she was left all alone to play night night baby with no positive peer reinforcement? Maybe seeing the others do it nicely will help her revert to the sweet way? Who knows. Otherwise, I think doing something different with step 4-10 is your only possible recourse...that, and waiting her out. Sigh.
I like the idea of adding to it. I've tried encouraging her to do it herself but that inspires screaming. To take all her blanket-like items out of her room would mean her diapers and clothes. Not gonna happen. Besides, she'd just go into the kitchen and grab a dish towel.
I really hope seeing the other kids play it nicely will lead to an end of this madness. I'm excited for her to start in Peelim today! She doesn't really care.
Ha. Well, Adair is excited on her behalf! She saw me looking at your pictures of T on FB last night and started demanding "watch movie of TT!" She was mad when I said there were no videos, but promised she'd get to see her today at school, and every day thereafter, and thankfully that worked.
We really need to get our office project finished so we can have people over again. My social butterfly spends a good portion of every day begging to have friends come over. ...When she's old enough to invite them herself, I fear I'm gonna need a bigger house.
