How is your LO with Santa

So how are your little people doing with Santa this year?
Ronin has seen Santa twice, once as a trial run to see how he would react, then yesterday at day care. He was the only one fom the nursery to not scream and sat on Santa's lap and got his gift, said ta and then looked at it and said more.
Obviously he has worked out what Santa does pretty quickly.

Awww, I'm glad he enjoyed the Santa visit!

DS1 saw and sat with Santa for the first time last year at church at age 5...lol. We just never did it. Odin was tiny and in the pic with Mrs. Clause. I don't have plans on taking either of them to see Santa this year. I think Odin would do ok if DS1 was there too.

Nathaniel didnt want anything to do with him. We are in his stranger danger stage so it wasnt working. Ill post a picture later of him screaming. I want to see happy baby pics though!

We haven't been to see Santa. Teagan goes to a Jewish daycare. So, I don't think Santa will be visiting her there. I don't know if we'll get around to it. I'm definitely not waiting in line at the mall to stick her on Santa's lap and I'm definitely not paying to have her picture taken with Santa. That can wait until she's old enough to know what's going on. She'd probably tolerate seeing Santa because she's a little social butterfly but its not worth dealing with the mall to go see him.

That's cute! Aiden did fine with Santa last year, but hasn't seen him yet this year. Not sure how it'll go. Assuming we find a Santa to take him to that is.

We've tried twice. She lost her mind both times and went into a screaming fit. No Santa pictures this year.

I'm pretty sure the closest Bass Pro to me is the one you likely went to!:) DH won't pay for screaming baby Santa pics.

I haven't tried doing Santa pics. I have never been that keen on standing in line to see a mall Santa so we probably won't do them. If DH would dress up as Santa, I would take pics of him with dd but he is NOT the type to want to do that Biggrin

We didn't do Santa pics until DD1 was old enough to ask to go see Santa. Now DD2 tags along and they do a pic together. Lainey was a little unsure about the whole thing until she looked up and saw Santa - then she was sure she hated it!

We went to see Santa today but while lining up I checked prices and itvwas$26 for two prints which was a no way price so we found somewhere that does a freebie and cheap packages so we are going back tomorrow because Ron in was sleeping

No way in heck would I pay $26 for pictures! I tried looking up the prices for the santa at the mall where we're moving but they won't tell us. Free Santa has already visited the base there sadly.

Simon was terrified of Santa! He was ok looking at him from afar, but once we got within arms distance he lost it. We decided to put him on his lap anyways just to see what he did and he just opened his mouth wide in a silent scream. LOL! Poor little guy. We didnt do any pictures because I refuse to traumatize him so I picked him up right away. I didnt need any failblog santa pictures anyways. Lol

LOL Mona! poor Simon. I am horrible, the silent scream/cry always has me laughing. unless they hurt themselves:(

One of my friends took her daughter to see santa last year and has a picture of it. It is one of he best ones I have seen she is screaming her head off and trying to get away and the caption under the picture says "making spirits bright" lol

So we saw Santa and Tobey was totally not phased at all. Like it was just another normal man. DS1 wouldn't leave the poor guy alone Lol

We took Evan to see Santa a couple weeks ago. We went on a weeknight hoping there wouldnt be a long line. We got lucky. There was no one there. He was scared at first, but we let him walk around and Santa was super sweet and patient. By the time we left, we had a no screaming picture. We got to stay back there around 20 minutes, letting him walk around and play.

I purposely waited until I had a day off during the week while schools were still in session to take my kids to see Santa. We got there right when they opened and only had to wait a few min. I also took them to the local Athens mall which is pretty tiny compared to the Mall of Georgia, no way did I want to brave that one! They both did pretty well! Lucas was fine, just looked at Santa like "Who is this man?" LOL. Then he would see me and do a fake cry for like 2 sec, then make silly faces for the camera, then look back at Santa. And repeat. It had me cracking up. All in all he didn't really seem to mind it. My DD was more scared, but after she saw Lucas sitting with him she agreed to sit on his lap. She would not smile at all, but she didn't cry, which is a big improvement over the screaming, crying pic of her in a chair in front of Santa last year! Biggrin

We don't do Santa here. We celebrate the birth of Jesus!
When I was pregnant with Jacob there were a few incidents here in Orange County where Santa was molesting some kiddos or getting aroused by the kids sitting on his lap or something...can't quite remember, but I was on the fence about what we would do as far as Santa went, and that sort of sealed the deal.
Here's a little video that talks about who Santa really is/was:

we went to a festival of lights and they had a free santa there. Trevor was so excited he could hardly wait! while in line he told me that he was gonna tell santa that he was gonna leave him cookies, which I thought was sweet that was on his mind. he talked with santa. he climbed right into his lap! I was suprised because I have a screaming picture from 2 years ago lol! last year we had to sit with him. Chloe looked like a deer in the headlights but didn't cry. I was suprised! lol
