Idiot of the day

So I just pumped and went to put all the parts that needed washing in the sink and had the pumped bottle of milk in my other hand to put a lid on. So what did I do, yup that right I put the empty bottle on the bench and the the pumped milk in the sink. Thankfully it landed on one of the horns so only an oz was spilt and the sink was clean because I had scrubbed it this morning, but still I think I can qualify for the idiot of the day award.

EEK!! What a super close call! I bet you were still upset losing an ounce. Glad it wasn't worse.

Aw! I totally once put pumped milk on the counter and the empty container in the fridge. And forgot about it all night long, so it was no longer good once I spotted it the next morning. I was depressed! I so rarely pump, so when I do there's a good reason for it.

Wanna know a true idiot? I posted this on FB last month. I was walking across the commissary parking lot on one end and had DS on my back. A guy driving down the street next to the commissary actually stopped his truck and yelled out, "hey, did you know there's a baby on your back?" I really wanted to yell back, "Did you know there's an idiot in your truck?"

Ah, it happens. Thankfully you didn't lose the whole works. I've knocked them over before getting the lids on, being clumsy.

I've nearly done that about a million times. Wanna talk about Mommy Brain? Get this. I'd planned for Teagan to have a bottle of EBM while DH and I were out on a date up in Tahoe. I packed my pump, 3 oz of EBM in the cooler (probably wasn't going to make the 1000 mile trip but it would be bad by the time we got back anyway), and even the bottle warmer and thermometer. On date night we get all dressed up and are about to head out the door when I realize I forgot A BOTTLE! Oh, and we'd lost her sippy somewhere along the way as well. Good thing she passed out about half an hour after we left. I'd also forgotten a bunch of things I needed for cooking while camping. It's no fun going to make pasta with tomato sauce only to find you've left the tomato sauce back at home ... 600 miles away.

Good save on the milk! I hate it when I spill BM or leave it out after all that work.

Jackie--The guy in the truck is killing me! Seriously!?!?
