I'm back! And an update! (m/cment)

Okay, so we're in our beautiful new apt. and almost all settled in!! Yahoo

AND I finally got some answers on my medical bs!

What they think happened is that at first my numbers were continuing to double for maybe 48-72 hours after that first trip to the ER, but then I began to miscarry. And the 2nd beta was 87 because my numbers were already beginning to decline. Last night I went in to the ER after fainting and found out that the persistent bleeding has caused some anemia and I've been overdoing and got dehydrated.

After a blood test my levels were found to be a 3! :woohoo: I know it sounds weird but I am fully relieved! (My previous levels had been 57 on 6/24 and 85 on 6/30)

Oh, and Charlie is adjusting great to being moved to the nursery with Ethan.

Also, I wanted to let those who saw it on the news know that, yes, the shooting spree in Grand Rapids was just up the street from us. But we are all safe.

Yay for the apartment!!:yahoo: Glad everyone is adjusting well.

Sorry to hear of the m/c, but glad you are relieved. Doesn't sound weird at all, you know what's going on, and your levels are almost back to normal.

Congrats on the new apartment! I'm glad you finally have some answers and you have every right to feel relieved. That's not weird at all. Fainting is scary (BTDT). Take it easy you hell cat you!

What happened up the street from you is an awful tragedy. It's rough when these things hit so close to home. Believe me, I know. Even when the perpetrator's been dealt with and the victims have been laid to rest, there's this lingering ache. It helps to try and do something, no matter how small, for the family of the victims. :bigarmhug:

The whole situation is very sad and scary. We were literally just down the street. Had it not been so hot that day we were supposed to be right near the house where the hostages were taken.

We have been attending all the vigils, etc in memorial of the victims. Especially the two girls (10 and 12 yo) who died. The 12 yr old was the gunman's daughter. I can't comprehend WTF was going through his mind that he would shoot anyone, let alone his own daughter. The whole city is still reeling.

GR is a big city, but 8 people dead (including the perpetrator) and 2 others injured still just doesn't happen.

I will never forget the photos and videos of the man who was the father of the murdered 10-year-old collapsed in the street after he received the news that his baby was among the dead. So awful.

Lots of thoughts and prayers still going out to the families of the victims, their friends, but mainly to the victims themselves.:angel5::angel10::angel10: :angel13::angel11::angel11: :angel13:

I am still in shock that 4 women, 1 man and 2 children lost their lives and since their killer shot himself we'll never see justice for them. Sad

Yay for the new apartment. That's fantastic that Charlie is adjusting well, that has to be quite a relief.

And yes, I fully understand your relief about the blood work numbers. It happened, there's nothing you can do about it so you're free to feel as you want about it.

I don't watch t.v. and I haven't been good at all about keeping up with the news online so I hadn't heard about the shootings. I'm glad to hear you all are safe and sound though.

Yay for the move to the new apartment going well! I'm glad you got things figured out after all the blood work and are at peace with everything.

I hadn't heard what happened either until now. That is so sad. I'm glad you are all safe.

So glad to hear you got the apartment. I don't remember seeing anything mentioned - did you get your stolen money back?

we didn't actually get it back, but a family friend gifted us that amount.

and as for the shootings, Rodrick Dantzler shot himself at the end of the whole ordeal. All in all he shot 9 people, killed 7, led police on a high-speed chase and took 3 hostages before turning the gun on himself.
