Click on the link, go to question 7 of 11 and read. It should pull up at that question. A hint, my irritation of it has nothing to do with potty training.
Just wondering if anyone else sees it or if I'm nit-picking.
erm...the whole response is kind of condescending! a baby that is hungry and wants food is clingy?? you can put your baby down for one minute? wtf! don't know if it's what is bugging you, but that is bugging me haha
Yep, that's what got me too! I was seriously peeved last night when I read it. I did NOT like the part about the bf baby being referred to as "clingy", seriously, wtf is that even supposed to mean?!
What she said..the way she said it.. why was it assumed that the baby is clingy? Did i miss something from an earlier question?
2 month olds aren't clingy. They are 2 month olds. Now my nearly 10 month old ... that's another story ;).
That mom just needs a good ring sling. lol.
Aren't 2 month olds supposed to be 'clingy'?!?! They can't do anything for themselves at all!
Did i miss something from an earlier question?
That's what I was wondering. I wonder if they edited the original question and maybe the mom used the word clingy. If so, shame on her. If not, shame on the author of the article.
The whole response is irritating. 'You must learn the fine art of multitasking', 'clingy' . . . and she didn't answer the question really. How are you going to feed the 2 month old AND help the toddler potty (unless you are talented with a good ring sling ;)) even if you have the potty right there with you. Let's not forget the whole kid taking a poo right there while the other is eating thing. :puke2:
Oh and the whole line about putting the baby down. Not so much, stupid. I know that when mine was two months old popping her off the boob mid-feed would result in 1. A screaming 2 month old and 2. Milk spray EVERYWHERE. Sorry, stupid answer person but that doesn't work.
Personally, I would take the toddler to the bathroom before I sat down to BF the baby. I wonder if the toddler times it that way out of a jealous attempt to get mom's attention?
YES! My 2 yr old totally uses having to go potty just to get my attention and get me away from Lucas for a few minutes! Luckily Lucas was older and not bf when I trained her. It is definitely annoying sometimes though! My advice to that mom would be to put off potty training for a few more months. I seriously could not have done it when he was 2 months.
And I agree, a 2 mo old is NOT clingy! The 2 yr old, that would most likely be the clingy one!!
Wow, yup - I'm completely offended and would like to SMACK the person who answered that question!!! Grrrr!!
OMFG. :brucelee: obviously the person answering the question either A) never bf'd or lives on planet Imadork. I totally agree too though that "Clingy" cannot be used to describe a 2 month old. The 2 YR old, yes. The 2 MO old, not so much
