It's Friday the 13th!!

Hey ladies

Seeing as it is Friday the 13th, I was wondering who here believes in ghosts/afterlife? I am born and raised Catholic and I know that I am not suppose to "dabble" in the occult, but I love ghosts, movies about ghosts, visiting haunted locations, seances Ouija boards, etc. I have had a few weird things happen over the years but nothing recently.

Have you ever had a haunted/ghost experience? Do you believe in ghosts? Anyone want to come over for a seance?? LMAO!!!

I totally think there are ghosts in some sense out there. I don't mess around with that stuff because it's completely a scary unknown! I've had a sense of being watched by something that isn't there several times, but nothing actually worthy of being called an experience.

although i am not sure what i believe on what happens to us when we die, i believe in ghosts. Or at least spirits. I had a creepy experience when i was around 12. I had a friend that was into all that and "supposedly" could see and speak with spirits. Most likely she was full of it, but at the time it really scared me. I try to stay away with anything that has to do with it so sorry, no seances for me i would pee my pants:p Movies, I love horror but ghost/demon movies i generally cannot watch they scare me too much. There is a local paranormal society and i actually used to work with the founder. They have a fb page that i check out once in awhile and their investigations totally creep me out, but at least i know all the "haunted" areas in my town lol

I like "spooky" stuff but not scary. When we went to Charleston we loved all the haunted ghost stuff. But I don't exactly believe in ghosts. I think something may exist, but not in the frightening way people think. I don't think ghosts can actually hurt you. Freak you out maybe, but not physically harm.

I agree with ghosts freaking you out but yes cannot harm you.

What is the local society Janice?

I believe in ghosts. We have a girl in our house who talks to us. Not a lot but she's say something like "daddy" or "hello" She's always doing stuff to DH like poking him. It's always when we are in bed when we hear her. Also we have a ghost cat. We feel it rubbing round us or shadows. We do have cats but they are no where to be seen when the ghost cat is around.

When I was about 13 I was in the car with my dad and I saw a woman dressed in 1950's washing day clothes, like an apron, hair in rollers, that kind of thing. She was just standing at the edge of the road. But my dad couldn't see her. She was really obvious, wearing strange clothes and she was the only person there so I'm pretty sure she was a ghost.

I believe in spirits. The people that have passed still being around us and protecting us.
I was staying with a friend in high school (her Dad passed when her Mom was pregnant with her) and it was around midnight and we were still up listening to the radio (and it was a school night) the radio station got really fuzzy and stayed that way for a few min. She said "Dad give us 5 more min and we'll turn it off, promise" and boom the radio was normal.

It did freak us out to start with but it's been going on about 2 years so we are used to it lol It started before DS1 could talk so we know it wasn't him. Anyway, like I said, it's a girls voice, she's about 5/6 Smile

I do not believe in ghosts. Based on my religious background, I believe that when people die, it is as if they are asleep and have no knowledge of anything that is happening and will remain in this state until they are resurrected when Christ returns. I believe that any 'manifestations" that are genuine and not hoaxes are not ghosts but rather Satan's angels appearing as whatever it may be-dead loved ones, or whatever. I personally won't have anything to do with anything "supernatural" be it Ouija board, seances or whatever, because in my belief, there are only two supernatural powers that exist, God and Satan and if one actually taps into something through that type of stuff, it is something coming from Satan. Since I believe that, it would scare the crap out of me to encounter something so I stay far away.

I don't believe in ghosts or anything of the sort but that doesn't mean that ghost stories don't scare me. Doesn't seem fair, does it?

I am not superstitious and I would not say that I believe in ghosts per se, because by definition I do not believe in the concept of anything "supernatural" (everything is natural!)...but I do believe that there are elements to this universe that science has not figured out yet, and that as humans with limited senses it's possible that we never will. Certainly not in our lifetime! I'll leave it at that Smile

And yes, I have had some very weird and freaky experiences! I don't claim to understand them, but let's just say I am kind of glad the second floor of my grandma's house is no longer a part of my life.

K I'll try, but Simon is right here so I may get interrupted. LOL!!

When I was about 16 a friend of mine drowned (he was 18). It was summer and really hot. After his service we were swimming at my friends house in her pool (he drowned in a lake caught under logs, so we werent afraid to swim because of his death). Anyways, my friend who owned the house went inside to shower and just me and another friend were outside. At the time she had a college student living in her basement and were joking about he's a pervert and probably watching us. Then i looked in the kitchen window and said "omg i think he really is watching us!" My friend looked too and at the same time we realized it was our dead friend!!!! We both screamed and lunged at eachother hugging!! We looked back and he was gone.

We were afraid to go inside so stayed outside. Our friend who was inside eventually came out and said she had a weird experience, about 10 minutes earlier when she was in the shower, every bottle suddenly fell all at once. This was about the same time we saw him. It was really strange!!1

I have more, but I'll try to write later cause Simon always wants attention as soon as I type. LOL!
