I love zoe's room. The quilt is beautiful!
I have a question. After your first pregnancy does your uterus just become weaker or looser so to speak with each pregnancy. I feel like I have been carrying so low for a long time now and is getting painful. My pelvic floor muscles are also very sore. Sorry for tmi but it feels like I have had nonstop sex for weeks.
I've been thinking that Zoe has been lower naturally just because that's how she wants to be. Only a few times have I felt anything above my belly button!!! I definitely have sore pelvic floor muscles, but that's a recent thing for me (as in within the past few days) not something that's been ongoing.
I've thought about that!
Na, MIL and SIL are pretty dramatic like that. SIL already had a dramatic text exchange with DH about our moving. They are quite sad about it.
And, I totally get that!!
YAY!!
YAY!!!
So we have our list ready and we are leaving first thing and spending all day looking at houses. I hope we find something to make an offer on tomorrow, but I have a feeling DH is going to be a stubborn jerk about it. There's one we got sent by the realtor that's a single-wide trailer on 2 acres. The inside is fairly nice actually, but the outside is so depressing. There is not one tree or shrub of any kind and no fencing. It's just the trailer on a wide expanse of dead grass. I can almost hear a theme song to an old Clint Eastwood western playing in my head when I look at the picture. DH really likes it because of the land - the seller has an additional 6 acres to sell adjoining it. What good is a plot of land if there is NOTHING on it?
Good luck today Anna, ho[pe you find a great house. Trees and stuff become so expensive, I want to rip out a palm (well lots of them actually) that we have at the front and put in a frangipani. If I could send plants to you I would, i want to rip out the entire garden under the stairs, not sure what I would put there though, maybe a nice flower bed
I am off to get newborn snuggles soon. Waiting for hubby to come home and see if he will watch Ronin because Ronin's friend there is at day care today.
I hope you're finding a great house today Anna! One that doesn't involve western music playing in the background.
My son is currently vacuuming for me. He drug the large vacuum out and was trying to plug it in for me. We compromised and he's got the small cordless vac right now. He may be chasing the terrified cat with it, but he's hitting up the worst of the floor mess in the process.
i hope you find a house Anna!!!
My kid is still sleeping. He had no nap at all this weekend so maybe he is catching up? He loves vacuuming too. he gets so mad if i don't let him do it lol
Best first "Mama" story EVER!!! And YAY! Hope he says it so much you're wishing you'd never wished to hear "Mama" very soon
Wendy, that is AWESOME about the kitchen!
When we bought our house, there was NOTHING in the huge yard except for one palm tree. I had just taken landscape design classes and thought that was kind of great--a blank slate! Which IS nice, except that trees take YEARS to grow...even the fastest growing ones you're looking at five years before it's anything approaching even a suggestion of a real tree shape and size. Bushes and vines and things you can get going faster with enough water, but...it costs a lot of money to put in mature enough landscaping to look like anything right off the bat, and unless it's going to be your forever home and you're willing to wait a decade for it to look good outside...eh.
That said, I'd totally buy land with a trailer on it if the plan was to live in it while BUILDING my forever home on that land. That's kind of our dream, actually. But I don't know if that's really what you guys are in the market for right now.
At any rate, good luck! I looove house hunting, but when it's for real and you're on a deadline, it's definitely stressful too! I hope it goes well for you!!!
This morning:
Me: "Okay, Adair, go into the bathroom and don't touch anything. Your hands are all milky!"
Adair: "No, my hands are YOGURT-y!"
Fair enough, kid!
I really hope we're able to move closer to our jobs in the next couple of years. The sooner the better though. Our laundry is the in basement and we have one of those old creepy basements. The worst part is carrying it upstairs, I'm lazy. I really hope you find a house that you love Anna. And what is it with the W&D in the kitchens down there? Weird.
Janis- We got Madison a toy dyson vacuum for Christmas! We found it at Sams Club (I don't know if you have them?) for $20. It really picks stuff up too.
DH is wearing me out with this daycare change. He called me at 8:00am this morning talking about how we're going to afford a new daycare if their more money cause it's looking like they might be...blah blah.... It was too early for all that crap.
