All I know is what day care told me at pick up. Ronin woke up from his sleep whingy and crying and wouldn't use his arm from that point out. One of the other boys came up and touched his shoulder at one point and he started screaming. They think he hurt it in his sleep. He has been through periods where he is happy and playing fine, just with one arm, which he was in at the hospital. He didn't flinch or cry when they cheked him over. We haven't had more than 2 hours straight sleep, I've been awake since 4am not able to get back to sleep and I broke my no boobie at night time rule. Hubby saw how he was asleep and he said it looks like his shoulder might be out. Hubby wants to come up the hospital with us so when Ronin wakes next I will kick hubby into gear and take him.

I think I will end up late for work today and possibly leaving early because I will be so tired. The late will be because I want to discuss with day care why no one called me to tell me he wasn't using his arm prior to pick up time, especially as the staff know he has previously had a dislocated wrist. I hate Tuesday and can't wait for him to move rooms because of Tuesdays in his room. The room leader finishes at 11 on a Tuesday and it's always been Tuesday where there are issues with his food, like the pumpkin bread and them deciding it's off, when he was eating huge amounts of food, Tuesdays half would be sent home etc.

Ugh, that's so annoying. I would DEFINITELY discuss that with the daycare. Especially since I don't know how I feel about that story if it turns out he has a dislocated shoulder. How could you dislocate your shoulder in your SLEEP? Hmm. I hope the hospital is more helpful this time around (kind of can't believe they sent him home in the first place...!) So sorry you guys are dealing with this!

Yeah. They have had to make changes to sleep time due to the new frameworks and accreditation process that they will be going through soon. They bought in a new early years learning framework recently which has big changes and they did a training on one section last week which was in regards to sleep times. Now it's called relaxtion time and they have to promote relaxtion rather than sleep (the kids sleep anyway and threy have found some of these early changes the kids are falling asleep faster and easier) and one thing they have been told is that the kids should not be sleeping on their sleep mats but cushions, blankets etc so they were sleeping on big cushions yesterday. I will be the PITA parent now who insists Ronin sleeps on a mat, I don't give a damn about accrediation.

A descent accreditation will honor parent wishes. They'll not give the center accreditation just because some parents want their kids to sleep on a mat instead ya know? Granted I went through this process as a daycare teacher in the US, but I can't imagine it's horribly different there.

Now a parent being alerted to a big issue like Ronin's arm? Yeah, that's something they should be doing already or they'll never get accreditation.

He could have also injured it jumping off something prior to nap. That is how Ethan did it. But not calling you prior to pick up would have me IRATE! I'd def. talk to the daycare. Olivia broke her wrist last June and she barely cried at all, even when the doctors moved it. They thought it was just bruised. They were wrong - did the x-ray just to be sure, and it was broken. all she did was fall off a tiny (less than 2 foot) slide sideways and land on her wrist. It can be amazing how resilient and strong these little kiddos are!

Wendy, that is horrible that they didn't call and tell you. I would be so mad.

Yeah I am going to talke with the acting director today, they are usually so good, they even rang for something really minor the other week that I wasn't even concerned about, I think it may have been he had been bitten by another child but it was minor and he actually started it and the other child retaliated by biting after Ronin stole toys or something. There was an incident report and all for that, wasn't given an incident report yesterday but that may also be because of time as I was trying to settle him see if I could tell what was wrong and get him to the hospital.

He is still sleeping soundly. I need him to wake up though because the hospital will tell us to go to the GP if we wait much longer, but I want him seen there because they have the notes from yesterday

Was there much swelling on her wrist? Ronin's fingers were a bit swollen yesterday but that was all so everyone said it wasn't broken. I was trying to keep him distracted with toys and books at the hospital because he was bored which may be why he was in a good mood, and hell it had been between 3 and 4 and a half hours he had pain, he was probably used to it by then.

I need to wash nappies but can't be bothered going downsatirs to put them in the machine, it's going to be a long day

To add to this, I didn't win 70 million in lotto last night, oh well I'll win the 100 million next week right. And profiteroles are an adeqaute breakfast right?
