Ronin will help when I am sorting washing. I hand him things and tell him which pile and he puts it there. His attention span doesn't last too long though so he leaves quickly.

Well Ronin is sleeping in today which sucks, I could have watched a movie, I have a couple I want to watch when I get the time, one I have seen and one I haven't.

Lyla loves to help me put stuff in the dryer and put folded laundry away. I'm watching the cutest little fat guy try to eat cut up grapes and shredded cheese. He loves it. I need to be boxing crap up!

We didn't the loan we were initially 'pre-approved' for. They told DH that we didn't qualify once you add my student loans into the mix. I think the loan officer felt bad because she was responsible for getting us our pre-approval (which you have to have to even be able to make an offer on a house in this town). She scrambled and worked until she found some loophole in a conventional loan that would allow us to make a smaller down payment, therefore make it feasible for us to do a conventional loan. Thank goodness we both have great credit or that wouldn't have been possible either. It's actually better in the long run because it lowers our monthly payment and we don't have to have special appraiser. But it means we have to use all the profit from our current house to put down on the new house so we don't get to do most of the improvements we were going to do right away. But the house is perfectly livable the way it is and that stuff can be done down the road. The important thing is we still get the house! I was so freaked out about it that I felt like I was going to throw up most of yesterday.

Woohoo Anna, glad you still get the house. Thats what we went for on this house, perfectly liveable but potential once we had the money for renos.

I was going to start the washing but theres clothes in our bedroom and I have two sleeping boys in there. I also can't put up the height chart I bought for Ronin or more pictures on the wall because the hammering will wake them. I also need them out of bed because I want to wash sheets while we have sunshine

Anna, that's great!!! Perfectly livable with some goals for down the road is awesome...you still get to MOVE!!! YAY!!!

Uh, yeah. Last night, I was watering the garden and I heard a lot of shouting that sounded maybe a block away. Then six or seven rapid gunshots. As I'm standing there wondering whether I should call the police with so little information, Addy (eating in her highchair in the doorway) says "What's that sound? What's that sound??" and I realize there are MULTIPLE police sirens and a police helicopter clearly converging on the area.

    It was so awesome.

Well, on the upside, our neighbor fixes our truck for about 1/3 of what a garage would charge. Pros and cons to everything

Well that's an upside I guess. I have a feeling crime in my neighbourhood could rise, the downside of my job is I know where some unsavoury characters live.
