Good luck Sara, it seems your getting on well with your business.
For those on facebook I put up a video of Ronin repeating about the eclipse, he got distracted at the end by a ball on tv.
So day care told me today that they had their inclusion person in Ronin's room today to do some evaulations on other kids. She said to the room leader that Ronin was a unique kid and the room leader asked if he was someone she should be watching for evalulation thinking she had seen something not right. Then the inclusion teacher asked the room leader why Ronin was still in that room (toddler room age ends at 2, Ronin is just waiting for a place in pre kindy to come up, hopefully soon) seeing as he was almost 3. The room leader had to tell her Ronin was only just 2. She ran through her checklists for an observation on him and she advised he is reaching all the areas on the evaluation list for a 2 year old and some on the 3-4 list as well. She also said one of the first things she noticed was his pincher grasp on the crayon/pencil (whatever he was using I can't rememeber what they said) with his left hand.
Ronin also sat there today with one of his friends baby sister and told everyone that Mummy was having a baby soon. He still has his imaginary friend as well who turned up the week after my Grandfather's funeral. I have never seen Ronin with an imaginary friend at home (ok that sounds dumb but you know what I mean) but apprantly he is always talking during solitary play and it is never like normal talk, they said it's not english so I think he is talking toddler to his imaginary friend.
Wow, that's unique about Ronin. I knew you've been waiting for him to get moved up, but how funny she thought he was older! I know at some point I read an article about how those with imaginary friends have better coping skills and how in really young children it helps them develop language.
Still pregnant and nothing to report. DH woke up this morning and looked at me saying "damn. I was hoping to wake up to you in labor." Me too honey.
So what am I supposed to do today? It's cloudy, some rain, and cold. Need a distraction! I was supposed to get together with one of the operation squadron wives today for a play date (she's my "sponsor" for moving over to the real flying world), but she's not responding to me so I'm guessing that's out.
I don't know...I had the opposite weather problem (hot) so I spent every day in my 40+ week going for long walks indoors (doing loops in the campus library or the mall) while listening to birth affirmations on my iPod. It wasn't distracting at all, but I couldn't concentrate on anything else anyway! Of course, it also didn't do much besides give me a ton of ineffective BH and false hope, but I'm sure it didn't hurt either. For distraction...hm. Do you guys have any indoor kid friendly places? I'd take Addy to PetSmart or the Children's Museum or something like that, but I don't know what your options are...
I need to get this girl to a farm. We were watching Doc Martin at dinner last night, and they showed a class of elementary school kids taking a field trip to a farm. They weren't even showing a lot of animals and stuff, mostly just touring some planting areas. Even so, Addy got a wild, almost panicky look on her face and said "I want to go there! I WANT TO GO THERE! PLEASE? I WANT TO GO THERE, MOMMY!!!"
Not really. The tumble gym is only open for open jump on Fridays. I'll take him to do that tomorrow if I'm still a boring pregnant lady. Any real pet stores and all museums are in other cities. I can drive from one end of our city to the other in less than 10 minutes. It's really not that great. It's just an hour to a lot of other better places, which is why it's worlds better than Del Rio. lol. Maybe I'll take him to Chick-fil-a for dinner. They have a play place inside and recently Aiden has done really well with climbing and tunnels (Monday he figured out how to climb the chain lattice at the playground by himself).
And too cute about Addy!
Yesterday Aiden did communicate to me. Asked for boob at Kohl's today and I told him not right now. He said "home now. boob." Yes, buddy you can have boob at home. And he did not forget even though we didn't get home for over an hour! lol
Oh I need to watch that video. I saw you posted it but forgot to watch it. He is such a story teller.
Anna- how's the packing coming along?
Hi Jackie, Hi Zoe . Chick Fil A sounds like a wonderful idea. I love their sweet tea, well, actually there isn't anything I don't like there.
So ladies tell me this- Kid is napping 2 1/2-3 hrs at daycare, fighting bed time at home, not eating as good as normal. Could we be onto molars? Oh and 3 mornings this week she's woke up dry! so yay for that.
